Hi, my name is Aaron Marcus, America's premier acting and commercial modeling career coach, the author of How to Become a Successful Commercial Model, now in its 5th edition, the founder of howtomodel.com, and I've been making my living as an actor and a commercial model for over 26 years. Probably the one secret of having a great resume is to really have the resume geared towards the audition that you're going on. So like, for instance, if you are auditioning for a theater piece, then I would make your resume pretty theater-heavy. If you're auditioning for film or TV, I would set it up the same way. Let people see the kinds of experience that you've had in that particular medium so they will feel more comfortable hiring you. If you're auditioning for a television show and all you have is theater, on there, then they might not think of you quite as highly as somebody who's already done a lot of television. Anyhow, the most important thing is be honest on your resume. List all of your qualifications, things that you've done, things that are the most impressive. Also, just keep in mind you don't necessarily have to fill up the page, every square inch of Of the white paper there. Just put down things that are, that are really helpful and let people see that you've had some experiences in the industry. So this is just one of the many topics that you're going to be learning at the Resume Secrets Online Workshop. This is going to be a step-by-step workshop where I'm going to be teaching you exactly how to put together an incredible resume. I also will be having a special guest show Sean Pratt, who's been an actor and a voiceover talent for many years, as well as a coach and an author who has actually— he's designed classes just on resumes, and you're going to be able to learn from Sean Pratt. He's really incredible. Some of the other things that you're going to be learning in this workshop is how to create the right resume that will grab the attention of the industry professionals in a step-by-step fashion, how to avoid the biggest mistakes that actors make in their resume, how to create a resume even if you've never done anything before in your life, and just basically learn the secrets for putting together a format that is used by all industry professionals.
