Hi, I'm Aaron Marcus, and welcome to the Acting and Modeling Quick Tips channel and the Actor Career Center. So in this video, I'm going to be sharing with you step by step how to go about creating the proper signature in your email and what information is needed. It's crucial that you have this information in every email so that way people have more information about you. If you upload your headshot, which I highly recommend, I'm going to be talking about it in a second and I'm going to show you how to do it. That way when people are reading your email, they can see you. And it's so important because you might have met somebody and Yeah, maybe they, you know, forgot your name, but if they see your face, hopefully they'll remember you. Or if they see your headshot, they might be thinking, oh, this person is perfect for this particular role. Or the agent, if you're talking to an agent, they might be interested in working with you. So let me show you how to create the signature. Okay, so in order to create a signature, all you need to do is to go into your email. At least this is with Gmail. Which I know that's what most people use. And then look for the little gear, click on the settings, then go to see all settings. And then from there you're going to be in general, or click on general, and you start scrolling down. This is so easy to do. And when you scroll down, keep scrolling, keep scrolling. Now you're going to see signature. And so what I've done Is I have a couple little dashes there to separate my email from the signature. I put in my name, I put in my— that I'm in the union, SAG-AFTRA. If you're not in the union, I would not recommend just saying non-union. Just don't put anything in there. And because along with being an actor, I am a career coach. And I do save 5 days every month to work with people privately. So I want that information in there. And then I've got— I'm an author of the book How to Become a Successful Actor and Model. So I have that link. Here's my website. If you want to friend me on Facebook, you can. If you want to follow me on Twitter, you can. If you want to follow me on Instagram, here's my IMDb page. I've got a mentoring program. Like I was saying before, I save 5 days every month to work with people privately. Here's my YouTube link and a phone number for people who need to reach me. This is all, and you just type it in, just edit it and type it in. It is so simple. It is crucial that you have this information. So that way, when you're sending out emails, people know more about you. Something else that I do, and in the bonus video, and I'll, I'll show— share the link with you in just a second, of how to upload your acting reel into your signature. And so I've got this right here. You can click on this in order to watch my reel. And this is probably one of the most important parts of your signature. A headshot, and all you need to do is click on Insert Image. If your headshot is on your desktop or wherever it is on your computer, you just upload it and place it in there. It's so easy to do this way. If you met somebody and you're following up, they might not remember your name, but when they see your headshot, they will remember you. If having this signature is so important. It, it lets people know more about you, how they can get additional information, and it's just really smart marketing. By the way, at the very end, after you've edited everything, make sure you go down and click on Save Changes. If you have any suggestions on things to add in a signature, please share it Uh, share it here so that way we can learn from you as well. If you haven't done this yet, don't forget, subscribe, click the notification bell so that way you always know when a new video has been uploaded. And if you like the video, please give it a thumbs up. That's helpful. And share, share the link with your fellow actors so we can continue to build a great community of actors helping each other. I did promise There's a link you can click up here, and that way you can learn how to upload your reel into your signature. I'm Aaron Marcus, and I can't wait to talk with you again soon.
