Aaron Marcus explains why actors and models should rename headshot files before sending them to casting directors. Instead of generic names like "headshot3246.jpg", include your full name and phone number so casting directors can identify and contact you immediately.

Here's another Acting and Modeling Quick Tip with me, Aaron Marcus. Today's time, look, we're sending JPEGs all the time, and so here's a little lesson that I wanted to share with you to make sure you don't make this mistake. Sometimes when people are sending JPEGs, let's say it's your headshot, and you might have zillions of different versions of your headshot, and one might be headshot 3246. And that's what you send off because that's the headshot that you want to submit. The problem is labeling it that way can be a real problem. People have no idea who that person is, how to contact that person. So whenever you are sending, submitting any kind of JPEG, always label it with your name. And personally, I think it's a really good idea to put your contact phone number on there as well. So that way, when they see your image, They know who you are and they know how to contact you. So anyhow, hopefully you found that helpful. If you're watching this on YouTube, please give it a thumbs up. If you're watching this on Facebook, like it. And actually, when you go to my YouTube page, facebook.com/howtomodel, and you like the page, you will automatically be sent any new information that I post there. And if you have any really interesting suggestions, about sending JPEGs, feel free to comment below. Love to be able to share your information with other people. Look, that's what this thing is all about— helping each other out, sharing information with other people. So please take advantage of this situation so you could share some of your knowledge and experience with others. I'm Aaron Marcus, and I can't wait to talk with you again soon.
