Here's another acting and modeling quick tip with me, Aaron Marcus. Normally, I'm not this dressed up when I'm doing my quick tips, but I just finished doing an online audition for a feature film, and I want to get this to you as soon as possible. So instead of changing, I'm wearing a suit for this one. Hey, so here's a situation that happened to me recently, and it's happened to me throughout my career a number of times. It's uncomfortable, and here's how I deal with it, and hopefully this will help you tremendously. If you are fortunate If you're in a position where you are contacted by 2 different agents to attend the same go-see— a go-see is an audition for models— here's a really good way to handle it. I mean, typically, I can tell you, agents are not happy when you contact them and say, well, I've already gotten the call from another agent, so I'm just gonna go with them. Just so you know that agents, commercial print agents, typically get 40%. 20% commission from us, the models, 20% from whoever is being invoiced for the job. Sometimes the photographer, sometimes the So they're not going to be getting as much as they possibly could get, but at least you're letting them know that if you do book the job because they did submit you, you're still going to pay them a 20% commission fee. And I tell you, that goes a long way. It's not a great feeling if you do happen to book it and you are now paying 40% of what you've earned to 2 different agents. That doesn't feel great. However, it's a smart business move and it's a good way to maintain good relationships with agents. And hey, by the way, I just I just wanted to let you know I've got a great video on how to book go-sees. Click the link below.
