Here's another acting and modeling quick tip with me, Aaron Marcus. This one evolves around slating. And because there's so much to say here, I'm not going to try to get everything into one vlog here, and it'll be a multi-part vlog about slating. So really quickly, what is slating? Slating is a way for actors and models to identify themselves, and it can vary. Sometimes you are— well, first of all, sometimes you're not even asked to slate. Sometimes you are. And if you are asked to slate, it's really important that you ask, what do they want in a slate? It can vary. It could just be your name. It could be your name and the character you're reading for. It could be your name, your character, your agency. It could be your height. It could be your weight. It could also include the representation that you have, the city that you live in. It could be a whole variety of things. And sometimes they get very complicated where you also have to write out information Hold it up to the camera like this, then drop it down, then walk away, give all the information verbally. And then sometimes they want you to have the camera tilt a little bit so they can see a full body shot of you. They get a better sense of what you look like. It varies from, from every slate that you do. So the most important thing is you always have to ask. If they ask you to slate, Ask them, what do you need in the slate? And if this is something that you're doing remotely, then I would also ask, do you want the slate separate from the audition? And if so, do you want it in front or behind? Do you want it before your audition or after your audition? So that's the very first thing that I want to share with you about slating. And like I said, there's going to be at At least a part 2, maybe a part 3. If you are watching this on YouTube, please give it a thumbs up. If you're watching this on my facebook.com/howtomodel page, please like it. Feel free to share this with other people as well. And if you've had any interesting experiences with slating, love for you to share it with others, then you can just list it right below here. I'm Aaron Marcus, and I can't wait to talk with you again soon. Thank you.
