My 3 Special Wishes For You

I can't believe that this is my last video for 2023. What a year it's been. So in this video, here's what I'd like to share with you. Number one, I want to share 3 things with you. I have 3 wishes for you. I also have a request, kind of slash favor, to ask at the end. I want you to see my latest film and television reel. Not, not to show it off or anything like that. I just want you to see what reels can look like. It is— I can tell you it's a little bit longer than I would recommend. I like to have reels no longer than 1 minute. I just felt like I couldn't do it in less— I'm sorry, at a minute. And so it's That's about 20 seconds more than what I ideally wanted, but I edited as best I could. So anyhow, you'll see that at the very, at the very end. Okay, let's get started. Hi, I'm Aaron Marcus, and welcome to the Acting and Modeling Quick Tips channel and the Actor Career Center, where I love sharing information with you based on my 38-plus years of experience working as a full-time actor. So the three things that I want to share with you at the end of this year and for the beginning of 2024, a new year. Number one, I wish for you health, which is number one. I also wish for you happiness in 2024 and peace. I hope it's a peaceful. year for you. It can be hard to feel peace in today's time period. And I never will get into a political discussion here. It's not my place. And nobody has really has an interest in hearing what I have to say. And I don't want to share it. So I just hope that the world gets to a better place in 2024, and that you can find Peace in that as well. The one favor, one request that I do have— look, I have a feeling you probably do this already, but I'm going to ask anyway— to find it in your heart to do something nice and kind for someone or for others. And I mean, that's something, that's something that's very important to me. And sometimes it's even just a little thing. It doesn't have to be a major ordeal or create your own charity, or— which is great, but even sometimes little things like, you know, I'm standing in line at the supermarket and there's somebody behind me with 3 items, and I just say, hey, why don't you go ahead ahead of me? You know, it's fine. Just little things that can make a small difference, or maybe a big difference, in somebody's life. And to me, that just seems like a really nice way to live. And if there are more people thinking that way and doing those kinds of things, I think 2024 can be even a better place. So just a couple of other things that I just wanted to mention. I don't know about you, and I'd love to hear, and please share it in the comments section. Do you have any specific goals or plans for 2024? Please let us know. I can tell you I never really have. My brain just doesn't work that way. And I know people who do, and I really admire that, to be able to do that and say, okay, after 3 months, I plan to be doing these things. After 6 months, I plan to have these many jobs earning this. I mean, though it's, it's an incredible way to do it, I just can't, and I never have. And so I can tell you I will have a new website. howtoactamodel.com is going to look completely different in 2024, at some point in 2024. That I do know. But as far as jobs go, even at the very beginning of my career when I decided to try this full-time My goals wasn't, you know, I've got to have these many auditions, as many books. My number one goal, do I enjoy it? You know, am I liking doing this on a full-time basis? Another goal, and maybe goal really isn't the right word for it, but I wanted to see if I could, if I could stomach being self-employed, if I could live with the unknown. That I may never get a job, or after I book a job, never get another job for the rest of my life. Those are things really to think of, and that's why a lot of people do this on a part-time basis. And, and I get it, you want a steady source of income, and this is really more of a sideline job, which, yeah, it's a, it's a fine way to do it. So I guess for me, my, my goals and my, my way of thinking for 2024 is I want to continue to be proactive. I want to continue doing everything I can to get work. I can tell you I'm going to be a little bit more selective with things that I work on and try to work on. I'm going to be more comfortable in saying no thank you. to some things, but really don't have any specific goals of things that I need to accomplish in 2024. But please let us know. And I do read every single one, and I will do my best at trying to Give you the answer that you're looking for. I'm not that smart of a guy, but I will try, or at least try to send you in the right direction. And I mean, most importantly, like I had mentioned for you all, I also am going to work very hard at trying to have a healthy and happy and a peaceful 2024. And that's going to take work. I know. It's a crazy world out there, but that is, that is a goal for me as well. And, and I also want to be able to spend more time with you, you know, just being more a part of my acting family. It feels really good, and that's why I spend the time creating these videos. So those are the things that I wanted to share.
