Hi, I'm Aaron Marcus, and I hope you had a good week. And also, here is your weekly video blog. This is based on an experience that I just had last week in New York where I was attending a go-see, and we were asked to show a look that— it was very unclear as to what they were really looking for. They said, well, show us a smirk. I wasn't really sure what that meant. Just like when somebody says to you, whether you're attending a go-see for a modeling job or you're actually on the set and you're being shot, and they say to you, well, you're happy, you're sad, you're frustrated. Those things are kind of meaningless to me because I need to know more specifically, why am I happy? Why am I sad? Why am I frustrated? There are many different kinds of looks. Like, for instance, if I'm a doctor and somebody says, well, you're happy, Well, does that mean I saved somebody's life, or does that mean I won a crazy malpractice case? Which would be happy but more of like relief. And so it's really important to ask a very quick question to the photographer before they take your photo, especially at the go-see. Sometimes they're able to give you a very specific answer that will be invaluable to you. Sometimes they really don't know and they're kind of vague and they just say, well, I don't know. You're happy. Let me just see happy. In which case, here's an another suggestion, make a decision on your own. If you try to play it safe and you don't want to make a mistake and you just kind of give a generic look, it's going to be boring. It's not going to be interesting. So even if it's wrong, you know, even if the reason why you are showing a specific look is not what they have in mind, still make a specific decision, make a specific choice, and it will look so much more interesting. So I wanted to share that information with you. And actually, if you would do me a favor, if you would go to my facebook.com/howtomodel page and if you would like the page, that way every time I add new information to the Facebook page, you will automatically receive it. And I want to make sure that anything that I add there, you get also. So I'm Aaron Marcus. I hope this was helpful to you, and I look forward to talking with you again next week. See you later.
