Hi, my name is Aaron Marcus, America's premier acting and commercial modeling career coach, the founder of HowToModel.com, the author of How to Become a Successful Commercial Model, now in its 5th edition, and I've been making my living as an actor and a commercial model for over 26 years. Many people have no idea how to go about joining the union and what the costs are. So basically, the way that it works is this. All actors will pay an initiation fee, and it doesn't make any difference whether it's somebody who's never worked before or somebody who is considered a must-join. But in either case, you pay one fee when you get started, and then what will happen is you pay dues twice a year, and basically it's, it's based on A percentage of what you earn. This is just one of the many things you're going to be learning when you take the SAG-AFTRA Actors Union online workshop. I'm going to have an incredible guest. His name is James Sheridan. He owns a payroll company, and you're going to learn all about whether you should join the union, how the union can help protect you, all the advantages of being in the union, what non-union work is all about. It will be an amazing workshop, so please join us. You can click on the link below to You get all the information. I look forward to seeing you soon.
