Welcome to another Acting and Modeling Quick Tip with me, Aaron Marcus. This has to do with auditioning. And I had a scene recently with another actor, and it was a scene— and I can't give out the details, it was for a television show, so I can't give out any of the specifics. But what you need to know is, in this particular scene, I am showing my concern. I'm Warmth, caring about this other actor in this scene. And so what I decided to do was— and I wanted to do this anyway because the woman is just a very interesting person and has had a tremendous amount of success, including an Academy Award. So I wanted to talk with her anyway, but— I wanted to make sure that we also spent some time where we were talking on a personal level, and I find that in general to be incredibly helpful to me. That if you're ever having any kind of scene where there is, you know, some kind of warmth, caring, love, whatever it is, if you can try to spend a couple of minutes with the other actor Prior to shooting. And, you know, don't necessarily just talk about acting stuff. I mean, that, that's a lot of times that it's not all that interesting, but more of who they are as a person. You know, get to know where did they grow up, do they have any kids, did they go to college, where did they go. Maybe you have some things in common that you can share. And so I guess my advice is if you're ever doing a scene like that, always try to spend a couple minutes ahead of time. And you don't have to make the announcement of, look, I need to talk with you a little bit to make the scene more— forget all that stuff. Just talk, enjoy the person, learn more about the person, and then you'll find that that will help you tremendously when you actually start shooting.
