Here's another acting and modeling quick tip with me, Aaron Marcus. So in the middle of the night, unfortunately, I came up with this idea that I wanted to share with you. So I got up really early this morning and put this thing— I'm putting it together for you right now. So the number one question that I always get is, how do I get started and how do I get work? So with— here's, here's the under 3-minute version. So certainly you want to have an effective headshot. You want to have a resume in the right format. You want to put together great commercial photos. And just on a little bit of a side note, all of that stuff is in my book, How to Become a Successful Actor and Model. I just walk you through that whole process. And then you want to have an agent submit you for work. So then sometimes people say to me, well, I don't have an agent. Okay, so here's what you want to do. And by the way, even if you have an agent, you still want to be doing these things. And when you land the jobs, you can still send it through your agent. And that's a whole other video, but it's in your best interest to send jobs through your agent, even if you book them on your own. Own. So what you can do is go to your local film commission website and see if there are any films, any TV shows shooting in your area. Sometimes they will list the casting directors and you can submit to them directly. That's one thing. The other thing also is certainly you can send things, send your, you know, materials to commercial photographers, art and creative directors at ad agencies. That's another possibility. But here's probably the best thing. You want to do some research and you want to find some of the listservs in your area where people are sharing information about jobs, auditions, and go-sees. At the bottom of— on this page, I am going to list a couple of them for you. I'm just going to give them to you. And these are great. You get on these listservs, there's no fee to it, and sometimes on a daily basis you will get information About jobs, auditions, and go-sees. So anyhow, those are really, uh, the best ways to get work. Now for me, I can tell you most of those listservs are not incredibly helpful because most of those jobs are non-union acting jobs, which I can't do. But if you're not in the union, these things will be phenomenal for you. The other thing too is you want to network and, you know, find groups of actors and models. Um, sometimes you can find them, uh, if you go to meetup.com and see if they have any meetings. Meetings where people get together and they talk about things. You might learn about some listservs in your area. You might find out about projects that are coming up, maybe some production companies that you can submit to. Anyhow, I'm going to be sharing a number of those links with you at the bottom here. Do me a favor. If you're watching this on YouTube, please give it a thumbs up. If you're watching this on Facebook, please like it. Feel free to share this with all of your friends. You can post it throughout your social media networks as well. And if you have any suggestions, any places where you go to, to get work, please list it in the comments section so other people can learn from you as well. I'm Aaron Marcus, and I can't wait to talk with you again.
