The Best Free Marketing Tool For Actors (Digital Business Card)

Have you ever been in a situation where you met some industry professional, whether it was in a store, walking down the street, at a networking event, wherever, wherever it might be? And like most actors, we're not walking around with headshots and resumes in our back pocket. Most of us don't have cards anymore. So what's the best way to make this connection? So in this video, I'm going to be sharing with you This, this amazing app that it's just a great marketing tool that it really is a networking game changer. Hi, I'm Aaron Marcus, and welcome to the Acting and Modeling Quick Tips channel and the Actor Career Center. So I was a guest speaker doing some workshops at an event recently and met an agent who was really nice. Enjoyed talking with her, wanted to get her information, and so I asked if she had a card, and she didn't. She said, here, why don't you do this? Why don't you just scan my QR code? So she pulls out her phone, I scanned it, and I thought, this is the way to do things. I mean, forget handing out headshots and resumes and things. I'm not saying that they're irrelevant today because in some situations they can still be very helpful. But if it's just a random meeting with somebody, You're walking down the street, you're in a store, who knows where you might meet somebody. If you get this app, it's going to change your life. So the app— Basically, so I download, I scan the QR code, downloaded her information, which is great. And later that evening, very first thing I did, went to my hotel room And I downloaded the app. It's called Bling. It's a free app that you can get from the App Store. As a matter of fact, you can see here, uh, how I set mine up. So you're going to have your own personalized QR code. There's a headshot. There are lots of links that you can put in there, contact information. It is just incredible. And I can't tell you how many times I used it just in the next couple of days.
