So, hey, look, for actors, you know, we've always heard about, yeah, actors, they're going to be bartenders, they're going to be waiters, they are going to be drivers and things like that, and other jobs in the service community. But let me tell you, There is a job, and actually it's a combination of 2 jobs that you've probably never heard of. It's an incredible job where the hours are flexible, the pay is good, and you get a chance to use your acting skills. It's beautiful. So let me tell you about the first one, and it's called standardized patient work. And Don't get scared by the title. Here's what actors do when they get hired as standardized patients. And by the way, I know people who do this full-time. Now, you're not going to make a living at it on a full-time basis, but it's a great supplemental job and a great way to make some extra money. So many teaching hospitals And many medical schools need to have their students or their residents get more practice doing exams. So what they do is they hire actors. And what will take place is this: the actor will be given a full-blown background history of the patient. They will know about what disease that person has. They will know the symptoms, how long they've had it, side effects, what kind of medication they're taking, how it's making them feel. And so basically, you go in, the doctor or the med student will come in and Ask you questions, and you will be responding based on the information you have already learned about your character and your character's history. You get a chance to work on your improv skills. Plus, I mean, look, you get a chance to do something really helpful in this world also. You're helping to train doctors. You're helping to train and give people a chance to practice. Before they actually start practicing on real people. And what's also really cool about this is that at the end, you actually rate the doctor. You write up a story about did the doctor do a good job or did the student do a good job? Did they make eye contact, eye contact with you? Did they ask you appropriate questions? Did they react to you? In the right ways. It's really, it's an amazing job. So how do you find out about these? Well, first of all, here is the best way. Contact any of your local teaching hospitals and find out who hires the standardized patients. You can also contact Any local medical school and ask the exact same thing. So I'm also going to share with you a link, and you'll see it right here, for standardized patient work. You can also find a link, a separate link that I'm going to list here and show you for standardized patient work around the world. So anyhow, I hope this interests you, that you find it helpful, and you follow up if that's something you're interested in doing. So here's the other thing, and it's kind of connected, and it's called role-playing jobs. And role-playing jobs, once again, it's really— it's a very neat job for actors because you get a chance to use your acting skills. There are many different organizations that hire role-playing actors. Government agencies, places like the TSA, the FBI, Homeland Security. There are just lots of different government agencies that hire actors. So you could also get hired by an attorney. Actually, my new rescue pup decided that he wanted— here, I'll bring him up for you to see. Whoa, Jamie, say hi to everybody. He decided he wanted to. He was listening. He was really interested. And Jamie, you can go right up there. There you go. So here's Jamie. He's great. Love this guy. So for role-playing work, you can contact Law schools. You can also contact lawyers' offices, and there are— once again, you can do some research and find out about the websites. Sometimes they will hire— this— the law schools will hire students so that their law students get a chance to practice being in a courtroom. Here, why don't you stay up here? Because you look so cute, everybody's going to want to see you. And so they have a moot courtroom, and basically, you, you know, the student gets a chance to practice either having the actor on, on the witness stand, maybe you're in the jury, and it's a great opportunity once again for you to use your acting skills and practice. The other thing too, the other thing is there are some lawyers who will hire actors. They're getting ready to go on trial and they want to try a case and maybe they want to test out some ideas. Do you know, does their opening argument really work? Does their closing argument really work? And so, and for some of these you can actually do them from home just because they're testing this stuff out and you can just do it online. So anyhow, And I'm showing you a link as well to try to find some work with government agencies. So anyhow, these are really amazing jobs that you get paid on an hourly basis. You can do it on a part-time basis as well when you are available. And anyhow, this is a whole lot better than driving an Uber or working as a bartender or working as a waiter because you You get a chance to use your acting skills, you get better, and if you're doing, you know, some of these scenes with other actors, you get a chance to network with them as well. So anyhow, if you like this, please click the thumbs up, give it a like, and that will help allow other, other people to learn about this. And also feel free To share this with other people as well. Look, that's why I'm doing it, to help other actors in the industry. So share the link. And, and by the way, there is a link below.
