Hey, I'm Aaron Marcus, and welcome to my Acting and Modeling Quick Tips channel. So in this video, I'm going to be showing you how to turn an audio recording that was done in GarageBand into an MP3 format, which until I actually learned some really easy steps, it was complicated. And I'm going to make this really simple for you. Oh, and by the way, if you haven't subscribed to my channel yet, make sure that you click the subscription button and click the, uh, the little bell, the notification button. And that way, every time I upload a new video, you'll know about it. So, um, I was very fortunate. I got an opportunity to audition for a voiceover job, which was pretty cool, and they specifically requested that the audition be saved as an MP3 and then just add it as an attachment, upload as an attachment, and then send it over to the client. So I went into GarageBand and I decided I really— I haven't really used GarageBand at all. It's a free program on my Mac and I've used other programs, but I wanted to test out GarageBand, and I knew that I would have some real control over the sound of it, which some of the other, at least free programs that I've used, really didn't have. So I played around a lot, got it, really liked the audition, did the basic editing at the beginning, the basic editing at the very end, and now all I need to do is, which I assumed would be Save As and then Save As an MP3. But there is no Save As in an MP3 in GarageBand. And I spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. So I went on YouTube and there were people saying that, yeah, GarageBand just doesn't offer that. Then there were some very complicated ways of trying to save it as an MP3. And I contacted a friend of mine. Hi. who does a lot of voiceover work, and he said, yeah, I'll show you how to do it. So watch this video and you will see essentially in 3 steps, really simple steps, how to save your audition that was done in GarageBand into an MP3. So here's all you need to do. Here's the recording that you've done. Next step is go up to Share. You click on Share, scroll down, and you click on Export Song to Disk. Now I realize it's not a song, it's just an audio recording, but you— that's what you click on. And then you'll see down here, uh, it says MP3, save as an MP3. I like to save things to my desktop so I can easily find it. And click Export. Boom, you're done. That's all you need to do. So that was it. I probably spent at least an hour and a half trying to research things, still couldn't get it done. But thanks to my friend David Dubois, it was really, really incredible.
