There is quite a few infections that can cause depression and anxiety. It's again, having that index of suspicion. I'm sure you're aware of pans and pandas, right? Pandas is the diagnosis, and it's a close relationship between the abrupt onset or worsening of OCD tics or motor tic disorder and a strep infection. It's pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with strep infections.
