I remember calling my mom afterwards. No cell phones, no text. I remember calling her and saying, mom, I think I want to be a naturopathic doctor. And she was just. She. She was kind of quiet. And then she's like, what's that? You know, and that was kind of the, the refrain I got. And I mean, back then it was really not. Not well known. And, and to. Nobody dissuaded me. But also no one really ever encouraged me. And, and the, the common response was, well, why don't you go to medical school then? And then you could learn that other stuff later. So I switched gears. I went to medical school, and, you know, again, when I was in med school, I really didn't see any part of pediatrics that I wanted for a career. I didn't want to be a hospitalist. Primary care was, you know, seeing one patient every five, ten minutes. I'm like, this is not, this is not helping kids to the. My best ability either.
