A person recounts refusing cancer treatment after their diagnosis and how their family responded. The video traces the emotional turning point that changed their mind and set them on a different path forward.
I remember reading the book, closing it as I finished it, and telling my parents if I ever got cancer, I would never, ever do any sort of treatment. That was it. That was the end. I was over and done with. About two months later, I was calling home from Virginia Tech to tell my parents I had a tumor in my chest the size of a grapefruit. As Jeff tells its story, my husband, he would say that it was the first time my dad ever told him that he could sleep in the same bed with me in college, not being married, just to make sure that I would stay alive so that they could come pick me up.
