Short transcript excerpt from a YouTube video ("How to Cook Lion's Mane Mushroom?" by Aaron Hartman, MD, uploaded March 6, 2023). Two speakers discuss cooking lion's mane mushrooms, noting that mushrooms contain large amounts of water (speaker gives numeric claims), advising to always cook lion's mane before eating, and promising to show the cooked result. The tone is informal and instructional with a brief safety reminder.

We are making cooked. Well, you have to cook for lion's mane. Making lion's mane. And after we're done eating or cooking it, we'll show you what it looks like.
One thing to keep in mind is that 90% of mushrooms are water. So when you cook them, you actually have the water come off first. This one's actually got a lot of water. 90%. 19% of mushrooms are water.
Oh, and also, even if you're a chef, I would still cook it. All chefs know, and, of course, people now know. Always cook it before you eat it and leave views on the video if you like the video. And if you find lion's mane and eat it.
Sunday lunch, avocado toast with freshly sauteed lion's mane for three of us.
