Sleep that doesn't leave you rested might mean obstructive sleep apnea or another efficiency problem. The video explains how to spot poor sleep quality and why you might wake up exhausted even after eight hours.
How do you feel after you've allegedly slept well, right? You know, you, you go to bed, you maybe fall asleep fine, you think you slept fine. But do you wake up feeling invigorated, rested and recharged, or do you drag your butt through every single day and require lots of caffeine in the morning? Do you have low mood? Do you have apathy or these things that kind of go along with this inefficiency of your sleep? And it's obvious if you can't fall asleep and you just laid there all night awake, that you know you're not having efficient sleep. But what if you do fall asleep fine, but your sleep maintenance is not good, then clearly that's going to lead into poor sleep efficiency. And at that point in time, it's what's the underlying mechanism? Is this obstructive sleep apnea that we had a lengthy conversation about and you know, in the last podcast talked about how to diagnosis and what it looks like and how it shouldn't be the stereotypical person that you think it might be, and then again, how to treat it.
