A YouTube video (The Health Dangers of Everyday Products) featuring a monologue by Jill who describes investigating chemical exposures from personal care products (parabens, phthalates) and agricultural pesticides (organophosphates, glyphosate). Jill recounts reading Tyrone Hayes's work on atrazine as an endocrine disruptor and finding heavy atrazine use concentrated in central Illinois — her home — prompting concern about farm use of the herbicide.

I dove into many things like clean hair, makeup products, bath and body products. Clean products like all the things that we use in our bodies, especially as women, that are parabens and phthalates and chemicals. And then growing up on the farm, organophosphates and glyphosate. But the big one is I started to read Tyrone Hayes work about atrazine as a massive endocrine disruptor. I started searching. I'll never forget the day I, like, googled atrazine use in the US and the map came up. And all of a sudden, right smack dab in the middle of Illinois, where I grew up, was the largest distribution of use in corn and soybeans. I liter called up my dad and I said, dad, I'm looking at this map and atrazine, like, smack dab, so highly used in central Illinois. Do you still use that on your crops? And he kind of sighed and. Cause with my cancer stuff, he was starting to take stock of what they were doing on the farms and what was traditional, what else they could do. And he said, yeah, Jill, we do. We use it very heavily on corn. And I just thought, what in the world.
