A short YouTube interview (Aaron Hartman, MD) in which a patient/family member recounts trying alternative therapies — notably high‑dose vitamin C and shark cartilage pills — during cancer care. The speaker describes practical struggles (sourcing wigs, experimenting with supplements) and post‑treatment sequelae after non‑Hodgkin's lymphoma, including severe leg cramps and ongoing mild neuropathy in the fingers.

He was determined to show us that vitamin C would work, and he wanted me to take mega doses of vitamin C. So we made him take the mega doses of vitamin C. Well, you know what happens when you take mega doses of vitamin C. So we didn't see him for a day or two after he did that. But we were trying to find different ways he had researched about shark cartilage, taking shark cartilage pills. So we were trying to look at both, and there wasn't much information for functional medicine there at all, along with, like, trying to find a wig, you know, simple stuff of trying to fix things.

What kind of, you know, the first three or six months, what kind of things were you struggling with after your initial. After the treatment?
So I had the leg cramps. Really, really bad leg cramps. I have neuropathy. I still have it a little bit in my fingers.
