Your beliefs about your future shape your biology today through the choices you make about diet, sleep, and activity. A clear sense of purpose improves health and longevity, while tech-driven isolation and shortened life expectations in younger generations are linked to rising depression and anxiety.
Chapters
What you believe about the future changes your biology and what you do today. Where do you see yourself five years, ten years from now? Where do you see your health? Where do you see your family? That expectation, that purpose, that drive changes the choices you make, the food you eat, they'll change how you go to sleep at night, what you do the next day. Having a purpose and a meaning and a future expectation is a huge part. It's really funny. We've in many ways become less human as we become technologically advanced, technologically driven. We've desegregated ourselves to humanity and we've seen this in our culture, more depression, more anxiety. Actually, this is the first generation. Kids are not expected live as long as their parents. Point is, having this sense of purpose and meaning, having these driven goals for the future can literally change your future and help with longevity and help with your health.
