Absolutely. So, you know, I'm a PA. I was practicing medicine already at 27, and my thyroid problem took me down. I was on Synthroid. I was on the medication that I was supposed to be on, you know, taking my meds, and I had every symptom of a thyroid disorder. So I'm like, okay, this is a simple fix. I'll go to my clinician, my doctor will increase my medication. Surely it's, you know, just that. I went and based on, you know, a single piece of lab data, my doctor told me, hey, no, your labs are normal. Well, I was spending 16 hours a day in bed. I was literally coming home from my, my job at 3:30 and in bed till the next morning when I had to go back to work. And weekends were honestly the same. I was non-functioning in most of my life and barely functioning at work. So immediately I'm like, wait, you, I, I, I need help. Like, please help me. You know, was kind of blown off. I was a little bit gaslit, sent on my way. And I know that's a topic close to near and dear to your heart as well. And, you know, eventually figured out, hey, this man is not going to help me. I'm literally told to eat less, exercise more. He was absolutely open to putting me on Lipitor though, but certainly could not increase my Synthroid as a 27-year-old. So I, I ended up on a waitlist, saw someone about a year later and got my life back and had a different approach. We looked deeper, we used different lab data, we used different medications because, as you and I know, 89+ percent of people on thyroid meds are on one class of medication that didn't work for me and doesn't for so many others. So immediately the, the man that gave me my life back became my mentor. I devoured everything that I could from research, from data, from data from my own patients. And from that, slowly over the last decade, have sort of honed and developed our Modern Thyroid Method. And now we get to, you know, reach every corner of our country with access to good and true and progressive thyroid care. So it's kind of an honor.
