In this episode of the Conscious Pivot Podcast, host Adam Markel interviews Andrew Gottlieb, founder and CEO of No Typical Moments, an agency that partners with purpose‑driven brands such as Eckhart Tolle, Lisa Nichols, and Ken Blanchard. The conversation weaves together personal backstory, generational perspectives, and business insights. Andrew shares how his Pittsburgh upbringing, Jewish heritage, and early experiences of physical smallness and growth‑hormone treatment forged a deep sense of resilience. He contrasts East‑Coast grit with West‑Coast flow, explores the stereotype that millennials are “soft,” and argues that today’s workers seek meaning over pure paycheck. The dialogue then tracks Andrew’s pivot from a straight‑A student destined for dentistry, through Wall Street internships, political consulting, and a series of rejections, to the founding of No Typical Moments in 2011. He describes the agency’s evolution, seasonal revenue patterns, the importance of knowing one’s numbers, and the role of luck versus deliberate preparation in landing high‑profile clients. The discussion also delves into the company’s values‑aligned client strategy, the decision to become a benefit corporation, and the broader trend toward B‑Corps and purpose‑driven business models. Finally, Andrew outlines his daily rituals—meditation, Wim Hof breathing, and exercise—while both hosts emphasize gratitude, resilience, and the power of conscious rituals in personal and professional life. Throughout, the episode blends conversational storytelling with actionable advice for entrepreneurs seeking to pivot purposefully.

  2. Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of the Conscious Pivot Podcast. I'm your host, Adam Markel, and it is another glorious day. People must get sick of me saying that every time, but isn't it true that today is another glorious day? It's not just because it just happens to be a glorious day in Southern California where it typically is. There's other things going on out here too. We had an earthquake not far from here, relatively minor one in Temecula, and there's these kind of— been other things happening up in Ventura, an awful mass shooting that happened just recently and some wildfires. So it's not that under sunny skies or clear blue skies or fair weather that everything is peachy because that's just not the case. At least, it's not my experience of it. And today I'm gonna have a guest on the show who's originally from the East Coast just like me, and he's from a much colder climate, at least this time of year. So we'll dig into that a little bit. But just the temperature inside, I think, is more to the point. What's the weather like on the inside? And by that I mean energetically in our minds, in other areas of our body, in our hearts. What's the temperature like right now? Take your own temperature. I'm gonna take my temperature right now, and I can just tell you, It's sunny and it's calm. It's peaceful. And there are other times when the weather inside of me is anything but that. Maybe the winds are blowing and it feels like raging and it's cold. And so I understand what that weather feels like as well. But more and more, I am on a path and a journey to living from the inside out in this fair weather, this calm, peaceful weather. And it feels good. I don't know how else to put it. I'm not saying it's for everybody, but for me, it just feels good. I get a lot done. I'm super productive. I'm happier in that environment. My body feels better in that environment, and I certainly have more fun with people in that environment. Welcome to the show today. I've got a great guest. His name is Andrew Gottlieb. He's the CEO and founder of No Typical Moments. I freaking love the name of that. No Typical Moments is an online customer acquisition company that aligns with impactful companies and brands who are championing new ways to advance humanity. Yeah. And leave the world a better place. His agency has worked with brands such as Eckhart Tolle, Lisa Nichols, Mama Gina's School of Womanly Arts, and Ken Blanchard. The only person in that group that I happen to be friends with and know pretty well is Lisa Nichols. All these other brands, pretty significant groups as well. And also, in just a moment, Andrew, maybe you could help me to pronounce Eckhart Tolle's name correctly. Say Tolle or does he say Toll? So that's my first question. I didn't expect to start there, but I am curious.
