  2. now! It's Adam Markel, and welcome back to another episode of the Change Proof Podcast. I am so thrilled. I am amped up for my guest today. His name is TJ Woodward, and he is a recovery expert, an addiction treatment specialist, inspirational speaker, and bestselling author. He will share his powerful insights for removing toxicity from your life and empowering you to enjoy and nurture healthy, enriching relationships. But so much more. So you're gonna wanna really clear a space for yourself to listen, if possible, to this in one shot. I don't know if you're in the car, you're on the treadmill, you're sitting, you're walking, whatever you might be doing, you're just gonna love this conversation. And I want you to buckle up, stay tuned, because it's gonna be exciting. Enjoy. Okay. I hope that that fulfilled the promise of the introduction. TJ Woodward, what just Such a brilliant guy. I mean, really insightful. His ideas, I thought just he and I really got on the same page without trying. It was just like a great vibe is what I would call it. Dovetailed pieces of the puzzle fitting together, that kind of a synergistic feeling just from my perspective. So I thoroughly enjoyed speaking to him about his conscious recovery philosophy paradigm. We talked about How it is that we've got these unresolved traumas in our lives, that there's spiritual disconnection as well as toxic shame that we are all dealing with. And this is in any role that we have in any area of our lives. So yes, professionally speaking, from the CEO on down to the latest new hire, we're all coming to the workplace with our stuff, with our trauma, with the things that we are in recovery from. Whether we consciously know it, and often we do not know it, to those things that are unconscious but are still running the show, ruling the roost, as my grandmother might say. We talked about how it is that we can get back to more of our essential selves, our, our true selves, our true being, if you will, and how it is that being aware of those things and doing certain work in those areas will help us to show up as truly more empowered versions of ourselves, which only means that whatever degree we've been able to accomplish things in our lives, and many of us have been able to accomplish quite a number of things in our lives, it will only add to that flame. It will only add to our ability, our capacity, our energy to be able to accelerate and not only create more things for ourselves, but also empower those around us to do the same, which creates even something bigger. It's exponential. And within the organization of a family, as an example, as well as the organization that we call our, our workplace, the results can be profound. They can be profound. And so, you know, we talked a lot about our, what is called a core false belief. That's a term of art coined by TJ that I just thought was absolutely amazing. I think about it in the inverse. I speak about it as objective truths, But the core false belief, he really gave us some fantastic insights about our brilliant strategies, the strategies that we developed early on in our lives to be able to cope, to be able to succeed, to be able to protect and guard ourselves adequately. I know that one intimately well. We talked about that and so many other things that I think just are fundamentally important, again, to us ourselves personally in connection with our relationship To ourselves, to those people around us at home and at work. So if you're somebody that wants to just do better all around and experience more joy, more love, more peace, more prosperity of every single kind, I, I gotta believe that this conversation really hits you in the right place. And I would implore you again, if you know people in your life that would benefit from hearing some of the kinds of things that were shared today, and I thought it was quite insightful really, then this would be the perfect episode. to share with a friend, a family member, a colleague. And also, we'd love to hear from you. So if you've got questions, follow-up questions for myself, for TJ, for us both, adammarkel.com/comment will be your place. That's a terrific way to do it. Of course, check out the show notes to find out more about TJ and his work and how to Get his book and hire him to come in and be a keynote speaker and present to your group. Just so many wonderful possibilities there. So, again, what a joy, pleasure. Hope you enjoyed it as well. And for now, I will just say ciao. Alright, TJ. So I'm gonna start you out with a question that my audience is pretty familiar with. It's every time it's unique. So that's why I keep asking it because I get a different answer pretty much every single time I ask this. But just as at the outset, for those of you that are are listening, you won't get this, but those of you that are watching maybe on YouTube or wherever, you'll see that today TJ and I, we are matched. We didn't have a memo about it, but we're both like wearing green. It's just not the color you wear. Like, it's not an everyday color, at least not for me in terms of wardrobe. So, so I thought that was a great sign that we are already like vibing and in sync. So with that, TJ, my first question is, what's one thing that you would love for our audience to know about you that is not part of the standard Not the bio and introduction that I've just shared, but the one that, you know, that others share about you all the time.
