Did they make fake silver dollars? Yes, they did. I recently went on an appointment and look what I found— a bunch of nice silver dollars. However, you need to double-check these things. Although all of these look good, only 2 are real. It's very difficult to figure out which ones. I'll tell you the easiest way where you don't have to be an expert to figure this out. If you put a real silver dollar On the scale, it should be right around 26.7 grams. If you have one that weighs different, for example, this one here, it's only 18 grams. It's an absolute fake.
