So I had a client who were brother and sister. Their parents passed away and they had a large home. And in that large home was a house that was kind of a hoarder situation. Because it was a foreclosure, they were told that they need to empty everything out, but they could take their, their items that they were sentimental about. I was called quickly and I went over there and I just went through all the items as best as I could. I was there for many hours because it was hard to see everything. The foreclosure situation, they had no money in the house. However, I found so much real jewelry mixed with the costume jewelry that we ended up finding over $20,000 worth of stuff in the house. The moral of the story is you need to figure out with mom and dad if there are some valuables in the house.
