The transcript captures a live worship segment from Adam Cruz’s 2013 performance of the song “Alive” at Element Church. Multiple speakers (A, B, C) lead and respond to the congregation, repeatedly proclaiming the Christian doctrine of Christ’s resurrection and the resulting freedom from death and shame. The lyrics emphasize that because Christ is alive, believers are also alive, encouraging the church to shout His name and proclaim this victory throughout the city. The piece is structured with call‑and‑response, repeated refrains, and a celebratory, triumphant tone, illustrating how the song functions as a communal declaration of faith and identity within a worship setting.

Chapters

Yeah, you saved me.
Come on, sing it out, death! Death has been defeated, I am free. Shame and loss, it's a grip on me. Gonna shout out your name. In our city, proclaim.
You are alive, so we are alive in you.
Death has no sting.
We are now free. You are alive, so we are alive in you.
You were killed on that cross. Our hope had seemed lost. Salvation seemed so far away.
Whoa, with this hope! Then in 3 days, you rose from the grave. Hell was conquered, sin was erased. We overcame. Yes! <LYRICS>The death has been defeated and I am free. Shame has lost its grip on me. Gonna shout out your name. In our city proclaim, 'Cause you are alive, so we are alive in you.'</LYRICS> Sing it out! <LYRICS>The death has no sting.
We are now free, 'cause you are alive.</LYRICS> We are alive in you. We are, we are alive. We are, we are alive. We are, we are alive in you.
Come on, church, sing it with us.
We are, we are alive. We are, we are alive. We are, we are alive in you. We are, we are alive. We are alive. We are, we are alive in you. We are, we are alive. We are, we are alive. We are, we are alive in you.
We're gonna shout. Gonna shout out your name. In our city proclaim.
'Cause you are alive. So we are alive in you. Death is lost. Death has no sting. We are now free. You are alive, so we are alive in you. Yeah, we're alive.
