"Obedience Is My Success" by Adam Cruz -- ACOUSTIC
The YouTube video presents an acoustic worship song titled “Obedience Is My Success,” performed by Adam Cruz. The lyrics are delivered in a call‑and‑response format between Speaker A and Speaker B. Speaker A poses reflective, rhetorical questions that echo the biblical scene of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane, asking whether He ever doubted, felt abandoned, or considered calling a legion of angels for rescue. Speaker B answers with a declaration of gratitude, emphasizing that Christ obeyed the Father’s will, gave up everything, endured suffering, and did not quit, thereby securing freedom for the believer. The chorus repeats the motif of “saving a wretch like me,” expressing a desire for a faith that can move the singer. The song intertwines themes of obedience, sacrificial love, divine suffering, personal redemption, and a yearning for steadfast faith, all framed within a simple acoustic arrangement that highlights the lyrical content.
