Protecting your time is one of the most important things that you will do as a leader, but people don't act that way. I see calendars all the time, back to back to back to back meetings, constant, you know, coming and going. But let me give you a few strategies to help you protect your time. Number 1, intend to protect your time. You have to change your mindset and recognize that your thinking time, your free time is actually as important, maybe more important than your meeting time. Number 2. Carve it out in advance. You have to pay yourself first when it comes to your time, which means carve out some morning time, some afternoon times, whatever's gonna work with your rhythms to actually hold that time and protect it. And then number 3, have something to do to use that time. You could have a whole list of things that are your deep work, your more strategic thinking, the things that you really need to do, and yet you don't find time to do them. And have a list of them and put those into that time. That's how to protect your time and get your most important work done.
