It's a controversial topic. Should you share bad news with your company? Honestly, there are gonna be times when you have to share bad news with your company. So here's a few strategies for you to think about as you do that. Number 1, prepare yourself. You just go in unprepared, you're gonna be undisciplined, you're just gonna be everywhere, and you're not gonna have message discipline, which is so essential. And you're also not gonna have emotional discipline or mental discipline, which is so essential for your ability to be convincing and optimistic when you deliver bad news. Number 2, once you're prepared and you have your message, say what there is to say. Don't sugarcoat it. Don't dance around it, just say the truth. And then number 3, importantly, explain why you have never been more optimistic, more hopeful, more determined, and more confident about the future of your company, because that is what people are going to remember and to understand. And you've got to narrate that for them so that they understand also they should be super confident in the future of the company even though there has been a setback.
