And he had to put on the jacket, fell down the The Hill. Oh, he— all kinds of stuff. Remember he had the jacket and he ripped David Spade's jacket? He lit the guy's desk on fire. Oh my God, he was a nightmare.

David Spade says, why can't you do that when we're out trying to sell the brake pads? Uh, all the stuff. And that leads me to my first story.

So there's this woman, and during the— she worked at a school in Chicago, and while the school was closed during the pandemic, she stole—

yeah, you talk about that lady—

$1.5 million worth of chicken wings. That has to be a lot of chicken wings. How much chicken?

I mean, I think they're talking about in cases. And I don't—

and yeah, but the value—

the, the headline is Miss—

well, she got like 9— she got 9 years in jail.

I know. I mean, she stole a bunch of food is basically what she did. She didn't just steal fucking $1.5 million worth of chicken. Well, she still worked for the, the cafeteria at the public school. And, you know, whoever ratted her out though, Cameras on you. I doubt it. They said probably someone in accounting.

They found it in it. I read the story. They said they found it when they did an inventory and did an audit, and that's when they figured out all this.

So for, for how long she had worked there? For many years.

Oh yeah, she was there like 20 years.

So for 20 years, basically, she probably didn't pay for groceries.

Possibly.

You know what I'm saying?

I don't know if she should go to jail though.

9 years, man. I read that too. I, you know, when I first seen it, I was like, that's, that lady's, she was older too. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. She's going to be like a super senior citizen when she gets out of jail.

She probably won't do 9, probably do 3.

I saw the picture, it didn't look real.

The reason, I mean, you know, I was— I, I had heard about the acquittal of his— of the long— there's been like a lawsuit.

Yeah, he has like 15 years, right?

Whenever he sold HP out where, where he's from in Great Britain, um, some— they did an audit, same, similar to that, and they found like a lot of money missing, right? Lots and lots of money. And Dougie always claimed his innocence, blah, blah, blah. And then so like a week ago, the judge acquitted him of all charges, dropped all charges, right? And so he's on his superyacht.

And I think some people died too.

It's super sad. Like, I'm— I shouldn't be laughing about it because his like wife, his 9-year-old daughter.

Yeah, like 3 or 4 people died, right?

A bunch of people died. There was a lot of people, the crew, the the— what is it, the captain? Yes, the chef.

That's crazy. He survived.

Nobody survived.

Oh, nobody. I don't think anyone's—

wait, no, no, I think they said 5 people survived. They pulled 5 people out.

That's crazy. I saw that story.

Yeah, the fact that these billionaires— stay out the water. If I was a billionaire, yeah, you couldn't catch me on a boat.

I mean, and it's funny because my wife asked me, he's been like, I love you, Mommy, but I just can't do the boats.

If I can't let you go on a cruise, I can't do it. I don't know if I'd go on a cruise, but mostly because people get sick a lot on these cruises. That starts that real—

I don't know, when I learned that there's like multiple deaths on cruises and no one knows about it because they have their own morgue on the boat. That's true. That is some wild shit, bro.

They— I know they definitely got a jail.

Okay, well, here's some stuff that's like some crazy stories that I was reading. Like, Apple's gonna change the Apple ID and just call it the Apple account. Now, no more, but it's the same thing. There's change in the name.

They must be getting pressure from the government, maybe.

And then I read another story, right? It's not an ID, right? So that's probably why they're changing it. And then this other story I just thought was crazy. How many crayons do you think, you know, people like use So they're saying that up to like going for the last like month or so, Crayola has been producing 13 million crayons a day for all the orders they have for back to school. That's an insane amount of crayons.

It's a lot of wax.

Yeah, just saying.

And then I don't miss buying— yo, I was at Walmart buying School supplies.

Yeah.

And just seeing the stress, because my kids are in high school now, it's stressful because the expense of it.

yeah, real quick, right? That just seeing the stress on these parents' faces, like the one lady, she, you know, she was trying to interpret the list to her husband, so he obviously couldn't read English, right? And he was bringing the stuff to them and she's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, uh-oh! You know what I'm saying? Like it's got to be this. And he was just— he was boiling. You can see like this—

It's confusing.

The steam was coming out of these teachers want all different kinds of notebooks and they need them and it's gotta be specific brand.

Yeah.

In this style, the line has to be a certain style. I do not miss that at all.

Like, I don't miss that.

You have to, like, even doing, going for my daughters, like, we still had to go to multiple different stores to get everything, right? Which is ridiculous. I will say this though, if to all the parents that are listening who are, you know, going back to school shopping, if it's not, you know, up north in Milwaukee and stuff, at Walmart, this shit blew my mind. Yeah, they have a school supply kit.

Oh, okay. So it had like your rulers, pencils, pens, uh, colored pencils, uh, what's the one, protractors, um, some notebooks, some loose leaf paper, some composition books, and it was only like $12.

I bet you they don't let people—

Do they let you bring a compass? Remember this compass thing? It had a holey thing, then you put a pencil on it.

So the compasses now are much different. Yeah, like, it's like this. Yes, they do have compasses, but it's not— you can't use it as a weapon. The one I— the one you're talking about, you could kill somebody with. It was a shank. And growing up where I grew up, I've definitely seen somebody get stabbed with a— with a—

in my school, somebody got stabbed with that once.

That's in my high school. I stabbed somebody with a pencil. Sorry, bro. I stabbed him right in his ass. Speaking of pencils, my dog's talking so much shit, man, and he stole my, my chair.

And I was like, all right, I got something for your ass. I went and sharpened my pencil, and it was one of those plastic chairs that had the, the lines through it. Shanked him right in his ass.

Anyway, no, so my daughter has boyfriends, and so she— they live together. He has 3 children.

She has a boyfriend. Holy shit. Fiancé. Well, she is, you know, older. And so she could have multiple. So he has, he has, uh, 3 kids, you know, they're all elementary school age. So she says to me, oh, can you go on Amazon and order me some pencils? And there's like a box of pre-sharpened pencils. She's telling me they have, they come pre-sharpened.

Why?

I guess so you don't have to sharpen the pencil.

But you can't, they're gonna, you're gonna have to sharpen it. I know, but then I guess it's cool. So I saw the whole, so straight out the box you get to work, right?

So I sent her a huge box of them. She wants, she goes, oh, order this small box.

Are they green?

No, they were yellow, like the number 2 pencil, the normal.

When you're in school, did you used to pop pencils?

Yeah. So that was kind of crazy.

A lot of the Husky pencils Remember the Husky pencils that were for like the special needs kids?

I don't know.

The ones that were like really big and round.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about.

Uh, yeah. So yeah, man. So that was anyway, uh, something that I've been wanting to talk to you about lately too is, uh, well, we kind of been talking about it, but, um, is these, these AI-generated videos. Right?

That's just really bothers me.

I've, I've been seeing some stuff, bro. Yeah, that, ah, it's blowing my mind, dude. Um, and I was reading this article a couple days ago. Even Elon Musk said it, tweeted this morning, how are we gonna know what's real?

I know, exactly.

So This has like been something I've just been really— because I mean, we're talking about using it for, you know, some promo and etc., etc., and some running some— using it for ads and just content in general. And to be honest with me, every time I use it, it makes me so uncomfortable. Like, I just, I just, I, I saw one the other day. It's like the human empathy, like the empathy that I have as a human. Yeah, it's like It's like I can't, I can't feel this person, right? I can tell my wife, like, I sent her a couple videos and I was like, did you— she was like, what? She's like, dang, that person really said that. I was like, hell no, that person didn't say that. You couldn't tell that that was fake, right? She was like, no.

I said, please, you have to really stare at it.

And once you're ready for it, my advice to everyone is stare at the mouth, right? Don't look at anything else.

There's tons of fake ones with Elon Musk in it, everybody, Trump, Biden, Kamala, everybody, all kind— I don't know how they leave them on Facebook or Facebook takes them off.

Real quick, you mentioned Kamala. I don't know how to pronounce her name. I forget. I just— I don't know if it's Kamala or Kamala, whatever. It's Kamala, right? Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris. Shout out to Milwaukee for no one getting shot outside of the convention center or robbing it. Well, I don't know if anybody got robbed. Somebody definitely got robbed. But I didn't hear about no one getting shot. So, good job, Milwaukee.

The main convention's in Chicago though. They just went there for one interview.

Chicago AI video generators, man, is like that. I've seen— I've watched some videos, some guy turned himself into a peacock. And I'm like, what is happening right now? I thought he was like melting in real life. And it's just some of this stuff is—

no, I see some like people crazy, like people in our— like people in the— in our business, I see these ones and they look like it's a newscast, but it's not a newscast, it's some AI-generated thing and they're trying to make it into, you know, buying the credit card machine or Whatever. It looks like it's a newscast. Oh, the new, you know, like the news comes on and everything. It's like, it looks like it's a news story.

Oh, like a breaking news.

Yeah, like breaking news. And I've seen a bunch of those.

I mean, I've seen a lot of really creative stuff. I mean, again, I keep coming back to the fact that how come we're using AI to take away from humans, humans so quickly, as opposed to using AI to help people. I, I just, I just think that we're headed down a really bad road right now.

I mean, there's like a— FTC put out a ban on like AI websites. They have to adhere to a whole bunch of rules. Like, people send us—

though they can't control that shit because it's already out.

Well, we can't give them credit card processing.

What I'm trying to say is like, at the end of the day, the rabbit's out.

Oh yeah, that's it. The horse is out of the barn and it's running down the road. Yeah.

So like the people who are smart enough to be able to, you know, manipulate the code that's out there. And I mean, it's all open source. Every, almost every, you know, AI platform is open source. I, you know, for the most part, I mean, it's always a paid gateway or something, but still. But yeah, man, I, I— it's just really spooky to me.

I did see that one website, Syllabi. I remember you showed that to me. I saw they're on, uh, one of the websites trying to like— where you, where you call it called WeFunder, where people, you know, invest in the companies, in the company.

Yeah, exactly.

Saw them listed on there.

Yeah, there's a bunch of them. Like, I mean, the stuff that— even the stuff that Adobe's doing is— it's just, bro, let the humans do it. Like, why aren't we making it so— like, why aren't we using the AI so that, like, we're focusing on artificial intelligence to prevent diseases and shit? Like, why are you so focused on taking away the the act, the creative jobs, like the AI shouldn't be taking the jobs of the artists, bro.

No, I get it.

The AI shouldn't be taking the jobs of the video dude or the graphic designer or the guy that does the SEO. Like, that's not— they should all be benefiting from the tools as to being, you know, basically penalized.

No, I get it. It's, it's not good. It's crazy.

and the other thing, when you're talking about AI, so, you know, like the other night Elon Musk was interviewed, interviewed Trump, right?

And he interviewed, I think, some other guys. He's interviewed quite a few people. So his, um, now these like super bots are causing these DDoS attacks.

Yeah, and that was all shit.

Well, really, what was it?

Just his servers dropped, failed.

That's not what they said.

That's not what Hila— I mean, if you were about to interview Trump and your servers crashed, you would say you got—

so they said, so they said, or would you not say you're— I guess I would. But what I'm saying is, is that there's been other websites. I was reading today in a story where these, these like super bots, right? They can go in and they can attack. They knocked like Amazon offline. They knocked a bunch of websites offline because they're very capable, because they flood it with like with, with, with fake traffic and they flood a website with a bunch of fake traffic and then they don't know how they're going to fight it, how websites are going to fight off these fake bots. Because let's say we don't like our competitor. Let's say we don't like one of our competitors. And then we go make some crazy AI bot that's just going to go there and start applying for merchant accounts all day long that are just completely fake. And then their whole website is going to crash and burn. You know, they'll be like flipping out already. No, I'm just saying it's crazy.

Like it is. It's, you know, and I think you would figure that prepared.

No, but you would figure that like Microsoft or Google would figure out like, hey, we got to see what this is. And, you know, we got to stop, stop this from happening.

Well, they've been trying to stop DDoS attacks since the internet.

Well, you would think that they would be smart enough.

It's not even just them though. Like, it's at the end of the day, it's like the end user type of thing, you know what I mean? It's allowing an app to take control of your device, or you downloading something. A lot of times it's user error. It's not the device. I used to tell this to my dad all the time.

But I'm sure other phones have apps that can do, uh, the new Google Buds earbuds. Yeah, have like real-time translation. So you can be like in, you know, in China. You know, the one dude said the nail— the lady said the nail salon is going to be lit.

I was like That would be pretty funny.

You're in the nail salon and you got to be able to talk back though, so that's, you know what I mean?

Yeah, well, you're not gonna be able to talk back or even know that they're talking smack about you in the nail salon if you have those in. That's kind of crazy. And the other stuff that's in the news, which I knew was kind of coming, but you know, it's too—

No, just, there's, you know, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is— they're definitely going through with, you know, the new, the new rules for buy now pay later going to affect August 1st, and then everybody should be compliant by the end of the month of August. So I don't know what's going to happen with that because those companies have to start reporting all the loans. And then also there's a whole thing about earned wage credits. So I read this, I thought this was crazy statistic. 80 million hourly workers tap into earned wage credit each week.

What is that?

People that get an advance on their paycheck.

Oh yeah, I believe that for sure, right?

So I didn't know this, 50% of them get it from their actual employer, where their employer basically either doesn't charge them anything, or maybe it's a dollar or two, you know, to get it like sent to your bank account early for the hours you already worked. Especially probably more popular in places where people are paid every 2 weeks.

80% growth, then it's popular every with, right?

80 million people are accessing it. That's a lot. It's 350 million people. It's one-third of the population. Yeah, or a quarter.

I'm a part of that population.

And then, and then 50% of people who are using this are going through third parties. Those third parties are on the— they're on the hot seat because they're charging people like interest. And, and now The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau says that those are considered loans because sometimes people are taking way more than what they earned.

Yeah, they don't, they don't care, right? Like, it's like, uh, no, it's like Chime, those advanced auto loan places and all that other stuff.

No, no, this is more like apps like Chime. Oh, so you like, you go on Chime and they can see when your deposit's coming, but they're giving you money. They might not get paid back for a couple of months. So they're charging insane fees right now, and the— and the, um— and they want to put caps on that and everything. So those companies are going to be in a lot of trouble. Well, that are doing that.

Stop taking advantage of us poor working folks.

No, I mean, it's also—

no, no, yeah, they're not taking advantage of us poor workers.

Yeah, so they've been taking advantage of people for a long time with those apps. The ones where people are getting it from their actual employer, they're not overpaying. It's the ones the people are using it through a third party. Well, no, they said they knew what the employer— this, the story said most employers are only charging like a dollar or two nominal fee because it's done through the payroll company. So they're not charging people interest. There was a few companies that got sued that were charging interest. Recently. Shame on them in the Northeast. And they got—

during the economic shithole we live in.

Well, I mean, it's earned wage, so it's money you already made, but these other companies are like giving you a payday advance, but they're calling it earned wage credit, which it's not really. That's not really what it is. It ain't credit. No, no, I'm saying it's not earned wage. They're giving you a— they're giving you an advance on your paycheck. The other companies, right, where earned wage would be—

I work 3 days all the time. Okay, yeah, payday loan stores. Yeah, used to go to them all the time.

Yeah, but that's a whole different ball game.

Yeah, the same thing. Now it's just electronic and easier to access.

Now it's easier than for them to take your money, right?

Well, it ain't really taking your money, it's making you pay them back when you said so.

I mean, a lot of those, even those, those title loan places set it up like that now too, where the only way you can get approved is if you do like the automatic withdrawal, right? Yeah, yeah.
