UnitedHealth CEO's Killer Found!? | Top Words Of 2024 | Biz To Biz Podcast

In this informal, unscripted episode of the Biz to Biz Podcast, co‑hosts Allen Kopelman (referred to as "Speaker B") and Justin discuss a wide range of current topics. They start with light‑hearted banter and personal tributes before moving into news items such as the UnitedHealth CEO arrest, a McDonald’s‑related crime, a Broward County sheriff scandal involving alleged crack‑cocaine sales, and the Juan Soto baseball trade. The conversation then shifts to a deep dive into 2024’s newly‑added dictionary words and slang (e.g., "brain rot," "bougie," "quishing," "delulu," "gymfluencer," etc.), with the hosts sharing personal reactions. Tech news follows, covering Google’s peer‑to‑peer payment rollout, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s potential Reg E claim rule, Nvidia’s antitrust probe in China, and Google’s AI super‑computer breakthroughs. Throughout, they sprinkle consumer‑payment advice, warnings about online scams, and anecdotes about shopping habits, health (carpal tunnel), and pop‑culture references. The episode ends with a call‑to‑action for listeners to subscribe.

You are now watching the Biz to Biz Podcast with Allen and Justin. Yo, what's up everybody? It's Justin live from B2B Vault, the Biz to Biz Podcast sponsored by Nationwide Payment Systems, hosted by this guy, the Ben Affleck of payment processing himself, Allen Kopelman.
And today Justin is the Matt Damon of web design and digital marketing. This is an episode of Good Will Hunting.
Uh, you know, that was a great movie.
Yeah.
How you doing, man?
I'm doing good. We're approaching episode 300. Where we at? We're at— this is 297 or 298.
Wow.
So we're getting close to do this, uh, big party for episode 300. Having a party? I guess we'll have a party right here, me and you.
Well, everyone should be invited to the wedding.
Well, everybody's invited. Maybe one—
In the office, not you guys. You guys are a bunch of losers. No, I'm just kidding. Yeah, man, I don't know. I just, real quick, hey, Mama, I love you. Rest in peace to Uncle Brian. I'm sorry. A lot of good memories with that guy. He was hilarious.
May his memory be blessed. Yeah.
Good stuff, man. Also in other, you know, sad news of people departing, rest in peace to Nikki Giovanni, bro. The lady who wrote poems.
Yeah.
She passed away yesterday.
Oh.
Or today, I think.
Today.
Yeah, that was sad. I was like, wow. What are you gonna do?
Just like crazy stuff in the news. Yes, most of the news is about the UnitedHealthcare guy and they arrested the perpetrator. And McDonald's.
He likes McDonald's. He had a bunch of, I mean, he had a Happy Meal pitcher, whatever. I mean, McDonald's is, they got healthy options at McDonald's. You can have a salad at McDonald's.
Okay.
A parfait.
A parfait. Yeah. A yogurt parfait. Yeah, okay. Fresh berries.
I don't know how fresh the berries are, but definitely some berries in that shit.
Just an unusual place you would find— hey, get arrested in McDonald's.
I guess they're bringing back the Snack Wrap too. I remember that.
Oh, the Snack Wrap. Yeah, they put like one chicken tender in there.
Yeah, yeah, wrapped it up in some— with some lettuce and a little bit of other—
some ranch dressing.
I think it was ranch. Yeah, the Southwest Ranch snack wrap, and then they had the barbecue one.
Well, the McDonald's employee supposedly is getting $50,000 or $60,000, um, for dropping the dime.
Oh really?
Yeah, there was a reward out, like a $50,000 reward, and maybe—
that's it?
I think there might have been more money, but that's— I don't know, you would think that's kind of low for somebody like that.
Yeah, man, I mean, Chicago just released— they, they got $15 million bounty on the, on the, like, the El Chapo guy of the gangs in, in Chicago.
$15 million.
$15 million.
Are you serious?
No bullshit.
Damn, let's go up there, make some money, man.
Call up Dog the Bounty Hunter, man. Let's go.
I'm surprised he's not on it.
I am pretty sure he probably is.
He's got on a plane from Hawaii, boom, he's got his wife and all this.
Everybody, everybody's saying— I can imagine that shit has got to be like the the movie John Wick, where every assassin, or like, you know, not assassin but bounty hunter guy—
no, what's that other movie? SWAT. They arrest that one guy, right? And he, and he says, get me out of jail and I'll pay like $10 million.
That's right, that was a good movie actually. Was that with Samuel Jackson?
Yeah, Samuel Jackson, right? And then they're taking the guy, they had a fake convoy.
And the guy that played the Penguin.
Who played the Penguin?
What's the guy's name? Farrell.
Oh, Will.
Oh yeah.
Colin Farrell.
Colin Farrell.
Yeah, he's in there. He plays Street. Jim Street.
Gefilte Fisch.
He plays Jim Street.
Gefilte Fisch.
Gefilte Fisch.
So that's the word that Colin Farrell learned the accent from.
Oh, okay.
It was from a trucker in Queens from the '80s.
Okay.
That he listened to over and over and over again to get his voice, to adapt his voice for the New York accent.
Okay.
Cause he's like an English guy, right? Or Australian?
I don't know where he's from. He's Irish.
He's Irish.
He has good movies. I like his movies.
Yeah, he's a good actor.
No, so the crazy, in that movie they have all these fake convoys and then every gang in LA is like bombing them, trying to, And then in the end, it's like one of the ex-cops and ex-gangsters.
Well, I don't know about the gangs, but getting involved in this. Yeah, tons of them. In the movie, yeah. But I'm saying like, because it's a gang movie.
Rival gangs. What about some rival gangs? They're going to get it. $15 million is a lot of money.
$15 million could run the block for a long time.
I mean, maybe the cops are going to try to find them.
Man, speaking of the cops.
Broward County.
Yeah, did you read this article about what the sheriff's department was producing their own crack cocaine?
What? For 3 years? They're getting up— are they arresting anybody?
They were selling it to people and then arresting those people.
That's messed up.
I don't know what the hell is wrong with me. Yo, I swear, when I moved to Florida, I knew I was moving to a a different part of the United States. But since be— this shit is not a part of the United States. This, it's like its own country.
No, it's just stupidity, dude.
I'm saying though, like, it, it is— this has got to be as close to the Wild Wild West as the show Cops came from.
Oh, I know Broward County.
We know, everybody knew. Okay, Broward County. Yeah, Broward County, 305.
It's the 954.
I know, but you would hear—
then it was the 305.
You would hear the 305 area code And then the Broward County Sheriff Department, freeze, get on the ground. Yeah, man, you see that dude Juan Soto, like $800 million to the Mets.
Did he play on the Mets before? No. Oh, he's new. Yeah, that's— I guess the Mets from the Yankees, they got him from the Yankees. Yeah, he wasn't even that good in the playoffs.
Wait, not from the Yankees? I can't remember.
No, you did play on the Yankees. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
He played. Juan Soto was— he's really good. He was hurt.
He didn't have to move.
He was hurt. No, I don't think he's got to move far at all.
Exactly.
He might have probably been living in Queens. It's cheaper over there.
So I was looking up online to see, you know, top things for 2024, right? So I found like top words that they put in the dictionary for 2024.
I was looking up some— I was looking up something else.
So this one was the first one that caught me was the Oxford Dictionary, which Oxford University Press, which some say is one of the best dictionaries, their top word was brain rot, which that's their word of the year, which perceived— which speaks to the perceived dangers of virtual life.
I can dig it. So I guess watching— I just call— I just say like I'm burnt out. Like, no, no, I'm saying that to you before, like, bro, I feel so burnt out, like, just from, you know, problem solving. Yeah, working on the internet.
So I'm just saying, like, virtual life is like— somebody— I was— I saw a question on a dating site. Would you have a relationship in the metaverse? It just reminds me of like a game that I got credit card processing for a long time ago called Second Life. And it was this game where you made your— I mean, Sims, you made your character.
It's a video game. I mean, I don't know, these people are weird nowadays.
So like, I'm just saying, they take video games very seriously.
Like, that's like their life, right?
That's what I'm saying.
Right.
They're playing. So here's some other words that were the number one slang word used in 2024.
Bougie. Bougie.
It's bougie.
Does it look like I got left off Bad and Bougie?
I'm not— I don't know if I'm bougie today.
Does it look like I got left off Bad and Bougie?
I know it's used a lot. Reader's Digest's top word is beach red. Which means you're under an umbrella with your feet in the sand reading the latest book that you downloaded.
Beach read.
Beach read.
Beach read.
Beach read. Beach read. Whatever.
Beach read.
So the Collins Dictionary top word is brat, defined as someone who is confident, independent, and hedonistic. No, not down with that one. Okay, here's one which I didn't even know. I thought this was around. Midwest nice, a term that describes a courteous and agreeable manner often involving self-deprecation, politeness, and avoidance of conflict. No, these are notable words that have been added to the dictionary this year.
Midwest nice. Yeah. So I've heard of this, like I've seen the hashtag that many times.
Yeah.
I mean, it's true. Well, I'm just saying they're from Wisconsin and we're—
you're nice.
I'm not. But well, my daughter would tell you, good morning, go fuck yourself, get the fuck out of here. I don't want— I fit in very well in New York.
My daughter lives in— buddy, my daughter lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I mean, people there are super nice.
Yeah, they ask, "How are you this morning?" They hold the door for you. They say, "Hey, how—" If you, like, it's just the whole vibe is different. Like growing up where I grew up in Milwaukee, bro, like the corner store, like I knew the guy. I'm 44, so back then, you know, my granny would send me with a note. It'd have the, "Give Justin a carton of eggs, a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk." and give him an ice cream cup or something, you know what I mean? And the relationship, I guess that's the sad part of society and the world that we live in today. There's no sense of community anymore.
So, I mean, I walk Rocky in the morning, so I'll be walking like through my neighborhood. Occasionally I see a lot of people that I know, but sometimes there's a new person. And usually if I just walk by somebody, I say, hello, good morning. Sometimes people are shocked. For sure. They're like, what? Did God just say hello to me?
Who the hell does he think he is? Yeah, exactly.
Is he a cop? It's weird. So here's another word. I never even heard of this one before. Quishing. Q-U-I-S-H-I-N-G. A scam of phishing using a QR code. Quishing.
Quishing.
Quishing. No. Quishing? Quishing. I don't know. Q-U-I-S-I-N-G. Never heard of it. Okay, well, I mean, there is definitely a lot of phishing going on on the internet. Thanks, shout out to GoDaddy, whatever your new software is blocking a lot of emails. So, but yeah, it's also blocking good emails too, so, but they got to figure that out. Yeah, well, you have to go in there and like add them in or something. That's not right. It's weird. Um, resentism, a blend of resent and absenteeism, meaning, meaning to continue doing your job but resent it.
Resentism.
Resentism. Whatever. I don't know, they added them to the dictionary. What can I tell you? I'm not there. I didn't write the dictionary.
Jimfluencer.
Yeah, a social media influencer whose content is focused on fitness or bodybuilding. So I sent Justin this workout video of this woman the other day. So I was showing it to Jacob and his girlfriend, and I go, what the heck is going on with this pelvic thrust? There's like a million views. Oh yeah, she looks— she says to me, she goes, no, no, you gotta— she goes, no, that lady's got a thing on. I'm like, what? So apparently she's got some electronic Kegel thing attached to her. Some— she's, she's doing Kegel exercises and she's selling some class. All I can tell you is there's like 1.2 million plus people watching her videos. Of her working out, working out, and the whole room and everybody. And I guess she's selling whatever that thing is that she's got on down there, and she's dancing all around.
Gymfluencer.
Well, I mean, who else would be a gym— I mean, that's a gym— people like Pumping Iron, Mike Tyson. I mean, uh, Mike Tyson.
Arnold Schwarzenegger. He was my— of my era, he was the gym fluency. He was the gym.
What about Mr. T? Mr.
T was to keep your ass from doing drugs. Don't do drugs. That's what he was. He would point at the screen and shit. I'm coming for you. Like, oh shit, I don't want Mr. T showing up here, bro. I don't want no parts of That was the wackiest TV show. I mean, The A-Team, literally they would roofie and Mickey Mr. T every episode to get on a plane, bro. So they were literally like drugging, date-raping, date-rape drugged, whatever.
They gave him— they would put him in his milk.
No, they put it in his milk. Remember, I need my milk. Before I get on the plane. Yeah, it makes me go to sleep. Oh yes, it does, Mr. T.
What was the guy's name? The crazy guy that flew the plane? I don't remember. He's like, no, don't let me on the plane.
I did see the, uh, that they're about to, um, they're about to make a van, a new—
oh yeah, the A-Team van. Yeah, listen, they got to make some money. George Peppard and, uh, Mr. T and whoever else was in there, they got to make some money. Okay. You got to era, era, era, era. A period in one's life or career of distinctive character. I mean, I thought that was—
they updated the definition.
Yeah, I guess of that one. And then here's another one. Anti-tourism, a term that reflects the growing movement against mass tourism. Oh, yeah.
People do. People are telling Americans to go home all over the country, all over the world.
What do you mean go home? Why?
When they go to like a certain— because it's, it's so overcrowded because of tourism, especially during like spring breaks and like summer vacations.
I want anti-tourism here in South Florida.
You should only be able to come to the state one time a year. If you don't live here, once a year, once per year, unless you're visiting family. For Christmas and that's it.
I mean, literally, like during like— Yeah, Christmas. No, but like literally, they're kind of holiday weekend. I used to live at the beach. You're— I mean, literally Thursday, no parking.
You go to the—
you go to Publix, you get all the food that you need because there's not going to be any food by Thursday evening. No, because you're not getting— you don't— you're not going to be able to leave your house unless you want to spend 4 hours driving a mile and a half. So it's just crazy. Yeah. Now here's one. Let's see if you can figure out how to pronounce this. D-E-L-U-L-U.
Delulu. Delulu. Meaning utterly mistaken or unrealistic in one's ideas or expectations. Delusional. I guess you're delulu. Get your asses out of here. This is the problem with the text message generation. They're sending you all these little acronyms and short— like, bro, how am I supposed to know what JKLMNOPRQSTVU is supposed to stand for?
Yeah, people send me acronyms all the time, and then I have to Google them to look them up.
I mean, there's a few of them, like, I know if you don't get your ass in this house, I'mma— I know a couple of them, right?
Like, no, but I'm saying like LOL, like laugh out loud, or is it lots of love? Which one are you getting?
Oh, I forgot about lots of love.
No, but I'm just saying it would follow within them.
The heart emoji, I'm sure.
Follow a heart emoji. Okay. I don't know if it's laughing. So if somebody's crazy, something, man, you delulu.
I'm not saying that shit. You're delulu. Okay. You're suspect if you say that word. You're sus. See? No, I'm not saying that either. That just sounds suspect. What? Sus. Sus? What is that? You're sus, bro.
I know, my— I've learned.
I know your son says that shit all the time.
That generation says that shit a lot. No, he comes up with these words and I'm like, what's that? It's like, like there's some guy on TikTok, right, The Rizzler, and he's like, oh, you have the rizz. Do you have the rizz? Do you have the rizz? And there's some guy, The Rizzler.
That's flee. Like, is flea is like cool?
Like flea, the guy from Red Hot Chili Peppers?
No, not that guy, but that word.
Yes. What? What?
That's flea. Riz is flea? No, I'm saying that's another word of what you're saying. It's another slang word.
Oh, I don't know what that means. What's flea?
Like you're, you're, you're, you're, you're lit. Like it's cool. It's cool. You're lit. You're, you're lit, man. That's another— I hate that. It's lit! Yeah, I'm gonna light your ass on fire. Man, my kids say that, man, it drives me nuts.
And then here's one: rad dogging, taking a long-haul flight with no devices or distractions.
That's raw dogging.
No, it's not. It says rad.
That's, that's wrong. It's raw dogging. No, raw dog. I trust me, it's— Sean, is it raw dogging or raw— rad dinging? What? It's raw dogging. Raw— that's when you get on an airplane and you don't have any headphones.
You better go look that up.
I'm serious. I know what you're— get your mind out the gutter, sir. But what he's referring to is when you get on a plane and you don't have any headphones or you don't listen to any music or watch anything or you you just sit there in silence. You don't read a book or anything.
I couldn't deal with that.
That's insanity.
You've got to be a crazy person to do that, especially if it's a long-haul flight. Like, exactly. No way. I couldn't deal with that. I need a movie. I would be hammered. You'd be hammered.
I would be like, another shot.
You'd be the one getting escorted off the plane.
I wouldn't get asked. I'm a— I get funny when I'm like that. Uh-oh, Philadelphia, no thank you.
And here's the last one added to the dictionary. These were just notable, some of the notable words. Looks maxing, the process of pulling out all stops to improve your physical appearance.
These are just some dumbass words.
Well, listen, you know, you have the Collins—
better rappers to come up with better words. We need to go back to the basics. To the basics. Yeah, no one should be doing online learning. You have to use a pencil to write your name.
Oh, let me tell you, it's really bad. Like, my daughter has a stepchild, it's just 3 of them. So one of them had an assignment in school and he had to send me a handwritten letter, and then I wrote him back a handwritten— oh, that's cool— he had to go show it to them at school. I sent him a picture of Rocky. To. That's cool. He liked it. Yeah, but it's just, you know, a lot of kids, they don't even— I mean, everything is slang, everything's abbreviated.
People write like how they text message, right? That's disturbing.
Yeah, it's not gonna work, you know.
No, no. Do you see the Google supercomputer solved a problem that would take a regular supercomputer like 10 septillion years. Wow, 5 minutes. That's crazy.
In 5 minutes. How much electricity did it use?
Oh, I'm sure they have a nuclear power plant connected to that thing. In the article, it's like, yeah, we're just trying to figure out what we're gonna do with it.
Dang, that's crazy.
But so, I mean, Alphabet is so ahead of the game— Google, for those that don't know. But yeah, right. They've been— I was reading an article and it basically was just saying how like they've been so like ahead of the game as far as research and development. And you know, they don't release none of that shit because the public isn't ready for it, right? Or there's not like a real use case scenario for it yet in the real world, right? Like the military and the government is using the stuff, but regular people, we don't get it until it's like, oh, okay, yeah, they can handle it, right? Right. Um, so they were just saying in an article how, how much stuff they got like in the chamber, you know what I mean? That is ready. They're about to release the new AI stuff. Like, it's just gonna get really cool. I'm just— it's, it's interesting to see like where Google's gonna go with this because everybody was saying like how OpenAI and the ChatGPT, uh, search engine is about to kill the Google, but no one's gonna stop using Google, bro. No, you know what I'm saying? And like, they—
I, I guarantee you they're already giving you like AI results when you—
they've been doing that shit for years.
Yeah, so it's like, well, it was a small little thing, now it's much bigger. Yeah, it's like half the page. Yeah, when you—
I mean, I don't— I'm not a fan of it, to be honest. I'd rather see Because some of it, if you read it, and if you're asking like, hey man, my— so I've been dealing with an issue, right? Yeah. I've been waking up and my, my hands are— feel— are tingling and falling asleep. Like, it's guaranteed every morning. I'm like, shit, I'm having a stroke, right? Like, no, you're not having a stroke. You probably have carpal tunnel.
Yeah, well, you know what, I have that.
So that's not good, and it's carpal tunnel. So it's the early signs of carpal tunnel.
No, I have that.
You have carpal tunnel? Yeah. So it's not fun.
So my, so my acupuncture guy told me take a potassium, and I started with 3 B6 a day and then 2 B6 after that, after 3 weeks. And then if I don't take it for like a couple of days, I could definitely feel it, the difference.
Yeah.
But what it does, so what that does is reduces the inflammation.
So what I was saying is like The, the AI-generated search result that it gave me was terrible. Okay. And I'm like, what? Like, so I had to do more research and then like, you know, it went from worst case scenario to like having some sort of blood disorder.
Telling you vitamins, get you some potassium and B6. I eat bananas. And it's not the same. It's not the same. I don't know.
I don't know. Yeah, you're right. You should try it out. In other tech news, China opened up an antitrust probe on Nvidia, the, you know, the Nvidia, the chipmaker. Yeah. Apparently Nvidia bought another company to speed up production. Okay. China didn't like that. Uh-oh. China says that they kind of— they monopolized their market, right? And they're coming for them.
So the other thing that popped in the news today also concerns Google and also every other platform that does— I didn't know with Google Wallet you could do a peer-to-peer payment. Yeah. Okay, so it's coming up on Google and everybody else, and now the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau wants to institute— wait, what?
When did they start doing Google peer-to-peer?
That's what I was— apparently the Google can do like a peer-to-peer payment or a payment to a business that's outside of Visa and Mastercards, outside of the Visa MasterCard network.
Really? Yeah.
So apparently them and everybody else, they want to institute where they— where consumers can do a Reg E claim. Well, that's where you say like, oh, I didn't get what I paid for and I need my money back. So that's going to— that could affect Google, Apple Pay, Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, everybody that's in that— in that. That's wild. And that needs to happen because there's billions of dollars lost every year. With scams and no way to get your money back. So I tell people, don't pay with that, because if you don't know the person or you don't trust them, it's very difficult to get your money back.
Even, I don't know, just paying for shit online is just— you got to be so mindful. Just do your diligence, bro. Like, especially during the holiday season, there's going to be— you're going to see so much shit on Facebook and it's going to be fake. Like the ads that you're seeing.
Oh yeah, fake, fake companies, fake content, tons of fake content.
And the websites, they're gonna function just like any other e-commerce store, and you ain't gonna get what you're looking for.
And I always look to see where is stuff coming from and the shipping times. You really got to check that because I went to buy something the other day and then I looked and it said the shipping time was like 16 8 weeks. I'm not gonna buy that. Then I found it on Amazon.
I was just talking to somebody about like shopping and stuff like that. I was like, the real— I'm so into like just my own style anyway. Like, I'm not buying much anything online. Yeah. So I go thrifting, bro. And then when I do, I carry cash and shit. So it's like, you know what I'm saying? Like, we're not, uh, really— I'm not exposing myself to, to those dangers anymore, really, you know what I'm saying? And if I do purchase something like a baseball cap, right, it's going to be from NewEra.com or Fanatics. Yeah, or Fanatics or whatever, you know, something like that. Like, I'm not buying it from Allen's Fitted Caps, customfittedcaps.com.
I got my cool fit today from my son. He's maybe Says, oh, swagged out. I got to get you looking cool on the podcast.
He dripped you out, man.
Dripped me out. Oh, there's another new word, drip. He got you, he got you dripped out. I rizzed and I dripped today.
Yeah, I got the, I got the Nationwide Payment Systems swagger. Okay. Merchandise. Yeah, but I think how much I did. I couldn't believe that. Yeah, yeah. Dos minutos, sir. Yes. Uh, I couldn't believe that the Mets paid that guy.
That's insane. That's the highest ever, ever.
Even past, uh, Johan, what, Johan Satani? Yeah, I can't pronounce it. I always miss his last name.
Johan Satani. No, his name is not Johan. It's not? No. Johan Satani? No. Sounds like— what's his name, Sean?
Ohtani. You know who we're talking about though, right?
Yeah, the guy in the Angels, the pitcher.
And the—
and well, he's not pitching, his arm is hurt. Yeah, whatever.
But yeah, man, thanks for watching. Smash that subscribe button for the one time for us.
Peace out. Peace out. Share the podcast. Carpe diem. Seize the day.
