FOOT CHAKRA Exercise - are you grounded? How to tell and an exercise to get grounded fast

Amanda Hainline explains grounding through the foot chakra, an energetic root system that stabilizes you. Grounded people stay calm and present; ungrounded people overreact when stressed. A simple exercise: stand with feet apart, visualize roots sinking into earth, inhale energy back up until you feel calm.

Hi, guys. So today I wanted to talk to you about grounding. I'm sure all of you have heard the term before, but I just wanted to kind of clarify what grounding is or being grounded is versus not being grounded and how you can tell if you are grounded or not grounded in basic energetics. What it looks like energetically to me when I'm working with a client, when we're talking about grounding, is that out the bottom of your foot? Imagine if this is your foot, and there is a chakra here that points out kind of like your root chakra does down in your pubic center, but it's on your foot. There's. There can be one on the top, but generally there's not. Generally, it just sticks into the ground. And out of this chakra comes roots. And that is really what they look like, is they look like roots, and they actually sink down into the earth energetically. And that feeds us. When we walk outside and we're barefoot, we're actually getting negative ions from the ground, and that's actually very healthy for our body versus positive ions, which come from electronics and different things like that. So that's why being in nature is so grounding. So when these roots are coming out and they're going into the ground, what happens is it's kind of like grounding a wire. If you've heard the term live wire, you don't want to go grab a wire that's on a electric pole. Right? And if you touch the ground, it will electrocute because you're grounding the energy down. Or a lightning rod. It's the same kind of concept energetically when we're grounded, okay? So when we are grounded, the energy is coming through us. It's coming from our crown, going into our body, and out through our feet, into our roots. All right? But some people, a lot of people actually really struggle with being grounded. And what that looks like is whenever they get stressed, whenever they get upset, they pull their roots up. What happens is you. You pull your roots up. And when you pull your roots up, it's really hard to function. People get really freaked out. They might overreact to something, and then they're always walking. We're going, oh, gosh. Shouldn't have overreacted that. You know, why did I do that? It's because you're not grounded. So that's kind of Energy 101 on what grounding looks like and how to know if you're grounded or not grounded. If you're grounded, you tend to be you tend to have a presence about you. People know that you know who you are. You just have this way about you, this presence about you that people take notice of. You can get things done. You don't get frazzled very easily. You're calm, you're centered, and you're grounded. Of course, that's. That's really the root of it. And it's because your roots have a healthy pull of the energy up through the earth into your body. And that is what grounding means energetically. So why do we struggle with being grounded sometimes? Well, sometimes, if you've had a lot of trauma in your life, if your energy system is just set up that way, some people just aren't really that grounded when they came in. So I'm going to give you one little exercise today that you can try at home that is fantabulous for grounding. I do it before I go to bed at night. It helps me to sleep better. It keeps me out of my head. But this will help you kind of settle into your body and relax. Okay. So this exercise is very, very simple. All you need to do is. It's better if you're standing. It's easier to do stand with your feet about. You can do it with them together, but shoulder width apart is good to just kind of get a good solid stance. And you just sink your roots into the ground and then take a deep breath and breathe that energy up from the earth. And you can do that several times. You can kind of visualize your roots and sinking deeper into the ground. And then have that energy come up through the earth as you breathe up and into your system. And you'll pretty much immediately feel a calm come over you, and everything's just a lot clearer once you do that exercise, if you're not grounded. So next time you're feeling a little frazzled or you're running around, try this exercise and see if it helps you. And let me know in the comments if it does. Take care.
