Module 3: Find Our Purpose as Muslims - Unlock True Meaning by Serving Our Ummah

Amine Ait combines Islamic teaching on purpose with the Ikigai framework to help Muslims find meaningful work. He walks through four quadrants: what you love, what the Ummah needs, what you're skilled at, and what pays. His case study examines post-COVID insomnia in Muslim women aged 15-34, then shows how to build a purpose-driven project using his Baraka Flywheel system.

So what's our purpose on earth? I believe at a certain point of our life we all ask ourselves this question, right? And Alhamdulillah, I was able to dive deeper into my spiritual journey and really figure out what is our actual purpose on earth as Beno Adam, as humans, right? And the first thing I want to share with you, brothers and sisters, is this hadith Qudsi that says, Which translates in English to I was a hidden treasure and I wanted to be known, so I created creation. And then we have this verse in Quran that says in Surat al Dariyat, verse 56, And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship me. And I'm going to stop on the word that was translated to worship. And it seems that if I'm correct, the best of the Sahabas who had knowledge of Tafsir Ibn Masar said that means, so if the purpose of worshiping Allah is actually the end goal is to know him, that means the entire purpose of all creation is to know Allah. And when Adam was taught all the names in Surat al Baqarah. And he thought Adam, the names, all of them, then he showed them to the angels and said, inform me of the names of these if you are through in Surah al Baqarah, verse 31. So Adam was given the knowledge of everything and everyone. So we see here that the purpose is really into knowing Allah. And the last hadith I'm going to share with you is Khalid Rasulullah. He said, our beloved Prophet, the most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy or to remove one of his troubles, or to forgive his debt, or to feed his hunger. That's the source. So the best way to serve Allah is to serve our Ummah, because that's the most beloved deed to Allah. By serving our Uma, we make a Muslim happy or we remove one of his troubles, right? Alhamdulillah. So Al Marifa. And to serve our brothers and sisters is our purpose here on earth. So we can know Allah, know understand his names and attributes. We need. So now that we agree that the best way to serve Allah's religion is by serving our Ummah, we need to figure out what is the gift that Allah gave each one of us. And for this, we're going to be leveraging the ikigai system, the Japanese system, actually. Ikigai means reason for being. And we're going to go through the exercise altogether. But before you go and jump into the exercise, I'm going to ask you to actually take A pause for three minutes and pray to turakahat and ask Allah zujal in sujood to help you identify your ikigai, your purpose. Press pause, go make wudu. If you're not on tahara, pray to arkayats, make your duha and sujood come back and play so we can do this exercise together with Nil. So I believe you prayed your dura cats. Now let's dive into it. So I'm gonna explain to you exactly how the ikigai works. So there is four main areas. First one is love. Second one is the need, what you're good at and what you can be paid for. So we're going to start with love here. I want you to list three to five things, right? You can ask yourself these questions. What would you do for hours even if you're not paid for? Secondly, what things you do lose track of time when you're doing. And the third one, how does this connect with serving Allah and our Ummah Biddillah? So once you get three to five things, we're going to move to the next section, which is needs. So let's look at what does our ummah currently need today? Looking at holistic, major issues and minor issues. What I mean by holistic is looking at wealth challenges, health challenges, mindset challenges, and spirituality challenges. What's going to be your mission? Look for the overlap with what you love and what the umma means. Then we're going to move to the third thing, what you're good at. So think about what people around you, family, loved ones, co workers, told you that you're really good at and what they usually praise you for. And list all these things. Then I want you to list all the things that you both love and you're good at. Because you could be good at a lot of things, but you don't enjoy doing. And you could also love a lot of things and you just suck at. So I want you to identify the things that you're really good at and the things that you love as well. Then we're going to jump into the fourth section, which is get paid for. This is the things that you love that you can get paid for, tasks you have done in the past to make money or position, jobs that you would like to be paid for. I want you to take 20, 30 minutes, even one hour. Go for a walk, take a notepad or use an app like Otter AI. You can download Otter AI and go for a walk and just speak. Speak those. Question, answer and brainstorm around it. This is super important. It's critical. Don't just go fast through the icky guy. It can open your eyes on a lot of things and it's better to do it with the Hassan with excellence. And when you get the answers then we can move to the next part. Now I believe that you've done your exercise, you found the answers to what you love, what the Oma needs, what you're good at and what you could get paid for. So now how are we going to find the answer? And the answer lies here in the middle, the ikigai. This is how love needs good at and paid for. Get into the middle. What you love is your unique passion, your superpower, but the ummanit is your mission. How are we going to serve Allah by serving Muslims? What you're good at are your skills and talents. And what you, you can be paid for is actually how are you going to make money doing what you love? Right, Just to recap now when what you want to get paid for aligns with what the uma needs, the only thing left is to build actually the vehicle that can deliver that solution. You might find many ways to make money from what you love and what you're good at. Now we're going to go through what I call the Baraka flywheel exercise. So this is something that I designed and let's go through it. Inshallah. You're going to click on the link here, I'm going to give you the link to slide as well. So the broadcast pry wheel is a system that I developed to help myself and help people around me, loved ones find actually their purpose and how they can build a vehicle, a business that is aligned with their true ikigai. So here the first question we need to ask is the area of interest or expertise. In order to do that we went through the AK exercise number two. We had to find the problem the home is facing. So how we do that is we usually look for know problems or products or services. Especially now that we need to boycott brands, we need to look at forums, look at the trends, health trends, wealth. What's the trends right now, like making money with AI for example, how to leverage AI in your business and how we can teach this skill set to a lot of Muslim business owners. There are different things that are going on in the world. We need to look at what's missing in the ummah. Obviously it has to be something that you love, something that you're good at. And then we dive into who's facing actually this challenge. Is it a Gender, in particular, an age group. We look at the demographics, psychographics, and then we need to find the best solution for the challenge. Right. So at this stage, I want you to just pause a little bit. If you're a man, a woman, I'm going to show you how does it work. So what I divided here is I divided the entire holistic problems and challenges that OMA is facing into four categories. Body, mind, spirit, and finances. So these are the main four categories that you're going to find. Any product service out there falls under one of these. Then the second group is gender. Men or women, who are we serving? Then the second one is age groups. Are we serving 0 to 17 kids and toddlers, or are we serving Gen Z, millennials, baby boomers here? It's super important because once you identify what you love, what you're good at and what the Ummah needs, then we're going to be able to turn that wheel. So, for example, I'm a man, so I'm going to put myself here. The things that, that I want to help people with, what is the thing that I love? I can go through my exercise, and usually it is between mind and spirituality. That's my realm. So it kind of combines both. So I'm going to put it in the middle. As you can see, half mind, high spirit. Then I'm going to look at the age group. So what are the one thing that I can help people with here? I can help them find their purpose, I can help them build a business. I can help them get healthier. So it's all four areas. But let's point to one problem that the UMA is facing and one that is really, really important, and the one we're going to go through inshallah. In the case study, in this course, one problem that I found is insomnia. So a lot of brothers and sisters are suffering from insomnia since COVID especially. So I looked at the data, did a lot of research, and we're going to go through the research in this case study, but this falls into body and mind. In this case, what are we going to do is we're going to turn the wheel because when you don't sleep, you can't think straight, right? So between body and mind, then we're going to look at the age group. So from the data that I found, majority are between 18 and 34. And then the gender, usually more female than male. So we're going to have the split here between male and female. Majority are women who struggle from insomnia so this is my client avatar. We're looking at 75% women, 25% men, Muslims between age 15 and 34 who suffer from insomnia. That creates a lot of physical problems and also psychological problems like depression, anxiety and they're not able to perform at work. That also affects their finances, their connection with unlike their Ms. Fajr prayer. So it had a lot of compound effect. But the majority, they're looking for body to rest and the first pain is the body and then the mind. So we're going to focus on that. So I want you to do the same exercise, turn the wheel and find out exactly who you need to serve. So now I did my aki and I want to share the results with you guys. So what I love to do is advise, consult, mentor, connect and coach. That's why I'm doing what I'm doing today with you guys. The needs. So the Muslims need to become first financially free. We need to own our own businesses, our own brands to embody a prophetic mindset, which is to really know the Sunnah and follow it, understand it. Especially there is something that is really needed in the Ummah. We need to become healthier, to eat better, to sleep better, to train better, to understand how our body works. And we need to get closer to Allah when we fix these areas. It's easier to get closer to Allah when you have free time and you're able to take care of your loved ones and your mindset is sharp, your body is healthy, you can do qiyam late, you can travel, go to umrah, go to spiritual retreats. Then it's easier for you to get closer to Allah. If you're broke, it's harder. If you're not healthy, it's harder to do ibadat and to do you know, or kiyam al or all this that gets us closer to Allah. And if you have everything but you have no Hassan al Khalab, you don't have actually a prophetic mindset and a prophetic way of doing things. Then you just have the form, the inside is empty. And then as you know and hussulay is one of the most important things in our deen subhanallah. So what I'm good at is intuition. I can, I can smell things. I can smell threads before subhanallah, they happen. I can see opportunities when others cannot see them. Alhamdulillah thanks to Allah, I'm someone who likes to innovate, to be the first on the market. My brain keeps working even when I sleep. I have ideas that keep coming. It's also a Paris by the way. I'm also a strategist. I'm able to zoom out, see the big picture, connect the dots, find opportunities which called opportunity mining. I can help businesses grow. I have good knowledge about E commerce, biohacking, fitness, nutrition, psychology, spirituality. So now it's what can I get paid for? I can get paid teaching what I know, right? So that's why I decided to create the Seeking Hasan series. There's gonna be quarters and books. So they're gonna cover the four areas, wealth, mindset, health and spirituality. The first course and book, that's the one we're doing right now, it's called the Landship Muslim Econ branded Baraka. And then these are the other project books and courses that I'm gonna be working on moving forward, inshallah. So when we look at this, so my purpose is to serve Allah, right? We are agree, we all have the same purpose. But how? So the how is by sharing the knowledge he gave me in business, health, mindset, spirituality with my own mouth. What I need to build that vehicle, right? To deliver on my mission. So building Seeking series, the courses and the books to teach these four areas is actually my purpose. This is my ikai. So the first course and book is the one we're doing right now. And the reason that we have to ask, okay now why do I have to do that, right? Why? What am I, what are the reasons? Am I good at this? Alhamdulillah. I have proved that I made my first million dollar with my health and and one that's Ecom brand. And I had the chance to actually consult and work on projects with 50 plus E commerce brand doing between 300k and 100 million a year. And I'm right now launching three Muslim brands. Khushu, Ayesh, Kin and Khalifa bin.
