Short YouTube clip in which Angela Caglia answers a viewer DM about rosacea. She emphasizes that rosacea must be medically diagnosed by a dermatologist, lists common signs (persistent redness on nose/cheeks, broken capillaries, small white bumps, sensitized skin), notes a genetic predisposition, recommends dermatological prescription treatments, advises avoiding triggers (rapid hot/cold changes, excess alcohol, spicy foods), and concludes with a recommendation for her Souffle moisturizer for sensitive skin.

Hi, guys. I want to respond to a question in my DMs. Rosacea. Now, rosacea is something that can only be medically diagnosed, so you can't diagnose yourself with it, nor can your esthetician. So you want to definitely speak to your dermatologist to make sure you do have rosacea. And here are some signs that you may have rosacea. Okay, so here are some signs. You might want to get this checked by your dermatologist. If you're noticing your skin has lot of redness, more than usual, mainly your nose, your cheek area, right in this area as well. And also if you have little white bumps accompanying the redness. And if you have a mirror where you can magnify it and you see there's a lot of broken capillaries causing the redness and it feels sensitized. And this is also genetic. So if your mom, uncle or grandfather or father had it, there's a high probability you may have it as well. And it's very common and there is something that can be done for it. Now, the best treatment is to have your dermatologist give you something prescription wise. And there are also some things that you need to avoid. You need to avoid exacerbating the issue, meaning avoiding hot and cold temperatures right after each other on your face. You want to kind of limit the alcohol if you drink too much. This can also exacerbate it as well as spicy foods. Now, my skincare was specifically designed for people that may have sensitive skin or think they have sensitive skin or just skin in general that doesn't want to be sensitized. I'd recommend my souffle moisturizer.
