A short YouTube clip by Angela Caglia reacting to the TikTok trend called “skin cycling.” She argues skin cycling is unhealthy because it forces cycles of damage-and-repair, and instead promotes daily, gentle active skincare enabled by her brand’s “lipid lock” technology so users never need to take breaks.

Okay, so there's a new trend on TikTok. It's called skin cycling. It was invented by a derm supposedly in New York. No disrespect to her, but skin cycling is not healthy for your skin whatsoever. If you get your skin in that state where it needs to be repaired, it's not healthy. I prefer to create skincare that is active, but in a gradual manner to where you never disrupt your lipid barrier. That's why we have the lipid lock technology, where we can deeply deliver actives in a gentle way with our balanced formulas. So you never have to take a break from your skin care. You can use it every day and never sensitize your skin at all. Taking a break to recover and then starting again and then taking a break is not healthy for your skin.
