This is a first-person transcript of a short promotional/brand video in which Angela Caglia (co-founder of Angela Caglia Natural Skin Care) describes her background as an esthetician, the origin story of her natural skincare line, its ingredient philosophy, and product attributes. She recounts being inspired by a celebrity client, locating a natural skincare lab in the Pacific Northwest, and developing small-batch, USDA-organic-focused formulations over six years using a ‘hero’ ingredient (lanthus alba flower / meadowfoam seed oil). She emphasizes ‘‘clean beauty’’, avoidance of parabens, sulfates, artificial color and fragrance, and continuing hands-on facial work to test products.

Hi, my name is Angela Kalia, co founder of Angela Kalia Natural Skin Care. I've been an esthetician for over 24 years, working on some of Hollywood's most famous faces. I was inspired to start my natural skin care line by giving a very, very famous celebrity a facial at her home in Malibu. She asked me what my dream was. And when someone that you admire so much is looking up at you and asking you what your dream is, you better have an answer. And I looked down and I told her to have a skincare line. And from that moment forward, I was so empowered because she took me up into her bathroom, she showed me her products, and she asked me what she should be using. I left that day determined to start my own natural skin care line. And it was from that moment on that I started looking for my skincare lab. At that time, it was very hard to find a natural skincare lab. This was six years ago, and I finally found one in the Pacific Northwest, which is where my hero ingredient is sourced. And that's the lanthus alba flower and meadow foam seed oil is derived from that. And it's an amazing oil. And what's so unique about it is that it's very high in essential fatty acids, but it also has a beautiful molecular structure similar to our own sebum. So it's able to penetrate deep into the skin, almost like a kiss of youth back into your skin with the moisture. It also protects from the environment. It gives a beautiful barrier delivering all of the essential fatty acids and vitamins to the the skin. It also is good for acne, it calms inflammation, and it's the most stable oil in the world. So when it's in my jars, it keeps my small batch formula stable longer. One thing unique about my luxury natural skincare line is that I'm very ingredient focused. It's small batched, and I wanted the best USDA certified organic ingredients and natural ingredients to create formulations that give an immediate result to your skin that's healthy for your skin. Clean beauty is very important to me because I've seen how products can sensitize skin. Products that have colorants, that have fragrance, that have silicones which trap the dirt into the pores, and there's so many other ingredients, foaming agents that actually harm the skin more than benefit the skin. So many people I know are paying a lot of money for products that are actually not good for their skin and they're not getting the results they want. I felt compelled to be very involved in my ingredient story and dedicated to finding and sourcing the best ingredients for your skin with my skin care line. My product line is Paraben free, sulfate free, free of any artificial color, free of any artificial fragrance. Just really good for you. Good, clean, green ingredients for your skin. Although I'm really busy running my skincare line with my husband, I'll never stop giving facials. I still go to my spa and give facials to my clients because I need to have my hands on their skin. I need to get feedback, and I love to test products. That's how I develop. My product line is actually working on skin, hearing their concerns and seeing the result with the products that I'm formulating. I've been working on these formulations for six years, and I've been using them back bar on my celebrity clients to get the results and to achieve the perfect formulation, which I'm able to give to you now.
