Angela Caglia introduces her new Elderberry Bakuchiol serum, created to help clients with over-sensitized, dull, dehydrated skin who had been overusing actives. The serum combines heavy hydrators, elderberry antioxidant, plant-based bakuchiol (a retinol alternative), and a small amount of glycolic acid for gentle exfoliation, positioning it as a three-in-one product that can replace separate exfoliant, retinol, and hydrator steps.

All right, so here's why I created my new launch. My Elderberry Bakuchiol serum. I created it because so many new clients were coming in with over sensitized skin. They weren't sure what to do and they were using too many actives and their skin was over sensitized. It looked duller, it looked dehydrated, and their fine lines and wrinkles were more pronounced. So the Elder Rare Bacucciol serum, it's almost like a three in one. You're getting your hydration. I wanted to put a lot of hydrators in it. I also wanted to put an antioxidant of the elderberry, which helps to fight free radicals which contribute to aging. And then of course the Bakuchiol, which is a retinol alternative but plant based, that gives the same benefits. It's so lightweight. I also wanted to include a little bit of glycolic acid. So you have this gentle exfoliation that's helping the other ingredients penetrate further. So with the hydration, the gentle exfoliation and the plant based retinol, you have kind of a no fuss product where you don't need to use a lot of skincare. You can use this as your exfoliator and your retinol and hydrator.
