Avoid this mistake if you're applying for a UX design job. One common mistake that most of the UX designers do over here is that they do the salary negotiation on the 4th round after clearing the technical round. Well, you need to understand that completing an assignment is going to take you 3 to 4 working days, which is a tremendous amount of effort that you're putting without knowing the outcome of the entire hiring process. That is why it is very important to discuss the salary expectation in the very first round, that, you know what, I'm expecting X amount of salary or X amount of percentage hike on my previous salary, so that once you and the HR are on the very same page, make sure that you have a verbal communication on email and only get started with the rest of the process. This way you can save a lot of time and target the company who matches your salary expectations and other things.
