Okay, hi everyone, Anthony here, and I'm joined by familiar face Eddie Donmez, and we've got some really exciting news about Amplify and Amplify Trading in general. Because as you guys might well know, we've spent the last decade plus really helping retail traders learn how to trade professionally, backing traders in our own proprietary trading arm, but But we're going to be transitioning. So as you might have seen, we've been working with more and more business schools and financial institutions from across the world using our unique simulation technology. And we're going to be focusing that into a new AmplifyMe platform and community. So Eddie and I are just coming on to really explain a couple of differences that you might see in terms of the content that Eddie and I will be putting out, but also in terms of what you can get and the value that you can get from the AmplifyMe community. Eddie, tell us a little bit more about what you've been working on with Amplify.me.
Yeah, amazing. Thanks for having this conversation, Ant. So yeah, really over the last kind of 2 or 3 years since I joined, I've been working exclusively on the Amplify.me community and the Amplify.me technology. So it's probably been talked about a little bit on this channel, but obviously the YouTube channel made famous, of course, by Anthony Cheung. Um, but what we do behind the scenes is we're actually involved in a huge amount of kind of client activity in the sense of we train the world's largest investment banks, be it Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse, Citigroup, uh, major hedge funds like Citadel and Quadrature, uh, and our technology is used by all these firms to really get their candidates desk ready. Um, but apart from that, we also try and distribute our technology and make this tech available to any student who wants it for free. So they can get the same training that these analysts get at these investment banks and hedge funds absolutely free to get them desk ready to really improve their chances in the graduate recruitment process. So our real aim is to democratize the financial recruitment and graduate recruitment space to allow any individual that wants training to get it for free and then get hired based on our data. So through all of our simulations, we can actually collect performance data based on your individual performance in that sim. And the really cool thing, and what I'm super passionate about, is distributing this technology in a wide variety of different roles. So we've got simulations in sales and trading, asset management, equity sector portfolio management, all the way through to quantitative finance and quantitative trading. So we design all of these simulations for our clients. We want to make that available to any student that wants it. So that's really what I've been doing over the last 2 years, and I think the really cool thing about where we're moving now is to— is for the community. And, and pass it back over to you to talk about some of the content and how that's going to change over time.
Yeah, and one of the things I want to stress here is anyone who follows this channel and maybe has followed me personally and the videos that I put out The trading content, like my morning macro briefings, that's definitely not going to stop. If anything, you're going to get those even earlier in the morning because they'll just go out publicly for everyone. And so one of the key things for me here is that aside from the market commentary that you guys probably know me for, I do a lot of work with mentoring young people as part of working with Eddie and the AmplifyMe team. And so definitely I'm super motivated to really help in that field. So for me, as much as there'll be the market briefing every morning, I'm going to be doing many more kind of macro insights. Like I put one out yesterday about Afghanistan and its impact on markets, stuff like that. But also I want to do some career sessions. I'm going to get some of my contacts in industry who have conversations about me, about their career or insights on markets. So I'll be distributing that type of news on our community pages, but also very much so on the AmplifyMe platform. But Eddie, I know you've got some new content as well that you want to bring in.
Yeah, absolutely. So you've probably seen some from some of the kind of viral videos that Anthony Cheung and I have done on Wirecard and oil prices and gold. Definitely going to be more of that to come. But, you know, some of my work that I'm involved in training the students and the analysts that we have is a lot more on corporate finance and M&A, private equity. So I'm going to be bringing a lot more single stock analysis 'cause I know everyone wants investment ideas and trading single-name equities. So more of that kind of in-depth stuff, but also things like analyzing deal flow and looking at particular deals. Because what we found over the kind of last 5 to 10 years is all the same stuff that is useful for retail traders is super useful for students preparing for the kind of application cycle and interviewing with different M&A houses and investment banks. So we're gonna be bringing a lot more of that content you know, to the YouTube channel but also our community.
Yeah, so with that, to conclude, there's going to be a link which we're going to drop on any of the posts this goes on, and that will be a registration link to the launch of the platform. It's happening on the 15th of September, so just a few weeks' time. If you register, you'll be informed as soon as that's available. And again, not only are we going to be enhancing the content on things like the YouTube channel, but on the platform in itself there's going to be tons of freely available exclusive content there as well. So hopefully we look forward to seeing you online soon, and, and thank you, Eddie.
Thanks, Anthony Cheung.
