A short Daily Burst of Knowledge video by Anthony Onesto (Feb 7) proposing the idea of applying design thinking, agile HR, and time-boxed 'innovation sprints' (6–12 day processes) to HR and recruiting to drive human-centered innovation. The speaker frames HR historically as transactional/legal and invites feedback on developing a design-and-innovation sprint tailored to HR/recruiting.

Hey everyone, it's Anthony Ernesto and this is my daily burst of knowledge for today. Tuesday, February 7 Today's topic is Innovation within HR and Recruiting. I think for many years, many decades, we operated HR from a transactional perspective and a legal perspective and really didn't give HR folks an opportunity to be innovative. And some were and some weren't, but. But I think I started thinking through what can be done to really drive innovation within hr. And I thought about two things. One is this idea of a design thinking methodology within human resources and using sort of a human centered approach, but also this agile HR concept. And then within the innovation sector there are things called sprints and these are 6 to 12 process where you walk into a company and you help them with research, brainstorming and potential mvp. And I was thinking of that within HR and if that was a possibility, so thinking of pulling that together. We would call it sort of a design and innovation sprint within HR and recruiting. But wondering if that would be interesting to folks. So if you do check out this video, let me know via Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn or email if you'd be interested in discussing what this innovation sprint in HR and recruiting would look like. So that's my daily verse of knowledge for today. We'll see you tomorrow.
