How will machine learning and artificial intelligence impact our lives? By 2025, robots, machine learning and artificial intelligence will displace over one third of all jobs. I don't mean manufacturing jobs, I mean all jobs. Machine learning and AI will disrupt the enterprise and your career simultaneously. Artificial intelligence is the search for intelligent behavior by software and machines. There are three basic categories. First, narrow, intellig or weak. AI is where your software is great. For one thing, it can beat any human at tic tac toe general intelligence, which is broad intelligence comparable to humans. It can do what we can, but much faster. And then there's super intelligence. Significantly smarter than us. Like way smarter than us. Kind of like how we're smarter than ants. And remember when Watson beat Ken Jennings in jeopardy? That's limited intelligence. We've already achieved it. The path towards general and super intelligence isn't insurmountable. If you have a smartphone, you're using machine learning powered by AI already. When most of us think of the future of artificial intelligence, we think of Jarvis Tony Stark's AI system.
