Did it come as an early foundation, a turning point, or something you leaned on in moments of crisis?
In my recovery, I had a foundation, not in traditional church and training, but my mom planted a seed in me and it grew like a forest. She said, if God spares life, we will do A, we will go here, we will do B. When I was misdiagnosed, I said, oh God, help me. Just a simple prayer. Oh God, help me. Why is this happening? It was just a knowing that he was there. I cried and cried and asked him why, and I started to get a knowing of why, and then why again. And then just acceptance that this was something I had to go through, but not fearing it was there for me.
