My Untold fitness Journey ( Habbfit Intro )

In this introductory video, Aravind Padmaraju, an IT professional living in Dubai, shares his personal fitness odyssey spanning over a decade, detailing repeated cycles of weight gain and loss, pivotal life events, and the lessons he learned about mindset, habit formation, nutrition, and consistency. He recounts early attempts with VLCC, gym training in Pune, the impact of his wife's tragic death, and subsequent emotional eating, leading to fluctuating weights between 84 kg and 102 kg. A turning point came after a humiliating movie‑theater incident that motivated him to lose weight rapidly (102 kg → 84 kg in six months). He later joined a high‑performance fitness community, mastered nutrition science, and achieved elite transformation results (e.g., 89 kg → 68 kg, 28 % → 6‑7 % body fat, top‑4 placement among 44 k participants). Drawing from these experiences, Aravind founded HAFIT (also called Habbfit), a coaching platform aimed at transforming 100 000 busy professionals and parents into healthy, self‑coached individuals. He outlines HAFIT’s mission (empowerment through mindset reprogramming, habit integration, and nutrition education), vision (create a new generation of fit children via role‑model parents), and core pillars (mindset, lifestyle integration, self‑coaching). The video also showcases client success stories (Satish, Jainul) and explains the content roadmap for the YouTube channel, which will cover mindset, nutrition, activity, and mindfulness. The overarching message emphasizes that sustainable fitness is a lifelong lifestyle, not a short‑term diet, and that habit building (70 % workouts, 20 % diet, 10 % other) is the key to lasting transformation.
Chapters
I had a very funny incident when myself and my wife, we went for a movie theater. The ticket collector asked me, is your daughter 16 plus? That actually shocked me, okay? That the whole movie I could not watch literally because it was kept on hanging me. Do I really look that big? Is it— am I, am I really looking that big? Then I actually— that realized me, okay? That day I've decided that, okay, whatever may happen I will look like a husband in front of my wife. I will not be looking like a father. So that day I decided. Exactly in 6 months, I did amazing transformation from 102 to 84. Hello friends, Aravind back again. So today basically I want to give you a little introduction about what is HAFIT and what exactly we we do and how, how would actually HAFIT has been founded and why I have started this company and all other details I want to share. And also what is our main motto and what is our vision and mission, what is our aim to achieve by through HAFIT. I wanted to just give you a brief so that you are aware of what is this channel is all about. And also I'll also tell you what are the content you can see from this channel. And what are the, uh, what are the topics we're going to share, uh, in this channel. So this is the things I'm going to put it in this video. First of all, um, thank you so much for supporting me and subscribed for this channel, and I will make sure that I will keep adding a value to your life on both physical and mental fitness and overall your health. So that's our main aim. And, uh, let's, uh, without further ado, let's get started with the today's video. Hi, my name is Aravind and I am, I am an IT professional. I'm working in Dubai for one of the reputed government organizations. And along with that, I'm basically from India, a small village called Bhipirachapallini near Railway Kodur, which is near to the Tirupati part of Andhra Pradesh. And I've been living in Dubai from last 5 years and I have a lovely wife Jayashree and and I'm— I have been blessed with a baby boy. His name is Lucky Laksh, and we have been living in Dubai from last 6 years. And my fitness journey has— and overall, it started almost like 2010 or 2009, where first I wanna— because of the work, because I started working from 2003, over a period of time, what happens is when I was more active, I was always thin and thin and smart. So you can see my picture here, how I was in 2004-2005. And around 2000, if I'm not wrong, 2005-ish or 2006, I bought a bike the first time. Then my activity started, you know, coming lesser and lesser. And then I started seeing my weight is gaining gradually. Then over a period of time, what happened is, uh, you know, I think in 2009, um, sometime, so I was around 95 kgs or something. Then I started my journey with, uh, one of my cousin actually introduced to VLCC, that weight loss management. Basically what they do is they use some kind of a machinery to heat up your body, and basically whichever is a problematic areas, they heat up the body and they, they ask to follow for a diet. Actually, during that time I lost around from 95, I think I came down to 84. And then what happened after that? Again, it took— I think I have— I used to jog or run for almost like 45 minutes every day. And you— I used to eat very little food with a little carbs and protein. I don't even know anything during that time, but I've lost a good amount of weight. But I could not able to sustain it. Exactly in another 6 months, what I did is I gained back all my weight. And that from 84, again I came back to 90, like that. And that then I started actually researching something on the internet. And what I had to shift to Pune that time, in 2010 I shifted to Pune. Previously, whatever I spoke about VLCC was in Chennai, okay? So once I moved to Pune, I got introduced to gym and I started used to workouts and other stuff. I used to go for a gym near to my home and where I started, uh, do a proper strength training like 3 to 4 days, where again I brought down my weight because I had a coach who used to help me with the diet and exercise and all of that. Again, I lost around 6 to 7 kgs. I used to— I like 6 to 7 months. But one of the biggest problem during that time was we used to do a lot of parties. I used to booze a lot and I used to smoke as well because during that time, I think from 2004 till that time, I started— yeah, occasionally I used to smoke, but during the Pune time I used to smoke aggressively during that time and drinking every weekend. So what happened was I used to work out, but all the things I used to spoil over the weekend. Then 2010 to 2015, I was there, and 2011 I got married. So for the marriage, again I went for a transformation. And then that time, actually, I brought down my weight from 87 to 80 kgs. That is, that is a picture you can see here. So that's before my engagement. So I, I was, I was looking much younger because that time I introduced Austrian training. I used to regularly work out and also follow a diet, but not up to the mark, but some kind of a diet I used to follow which is very aggressive, a lot of protein and other stuff. I don't know anything about that time. Then I got married in 2011 and then After marriage, again I started eating a lot of food, the parties and all of them, and meeting the friends and all of that. Again, myself and my wife both, we gained weight. And I think again we went for the same VLCC kind of a thing. I think in the Viman Nagar there was one thing, and I touched almost like 90 kgs after marriage. It's around 2011 December sometime. Then we both again went for, booked for a package, and then again I brought down that weight to 84, 85. 85 kgs. So that was— I maintained that weight for almost, uh, for a long— and during the same period, I also hit my lowest weight after so long. So that transformation from, I think, around 86, I brought it down to 78 kgs. And so this is my another transformation video you can see, which is in 2012. So that I, I maintained for quite some time. And 2013, I had a bigger strategy tragedy in my life where I lost my wife on a train accident, and that actually put me into a lot of mental, what I can say, stress or depression or something. I went on binge eat because whenever I used to feel emotional, I used to eat a lot of food, okay? I used to eat a lot of food. So that actually made me to put on my— again, I hit I think around 98 kgs and After she lost, I think I went to Netherlands just to come out of this, the thing. And I, my brother was used to work in Netherlands. I think this is a photo I took it near Paris when we went for the Eiffel Tower. So you can see how big I was. And that was the time. And then see, uh, the one thing for sure, this my weight, I always will be calm, conscious. Even though I increase and then again put effort and come back, and again I increase, again put, come back. So this is one keep rotating, keep repeating eating, okay. And 2014, again I started working out, and then I brought down my weight from, say, 98 kgs to around 88, okay. And that's, that's time I used to do a lot of— I was a corporate trainer as well. I used to do a lot of trainings, and I had a lot of free time, so I used to do the workout regularly there at that time. And then again I brought down And yeah, so again, the weekends was freaking with the friends, drinking late nights, no proper sleep, no proper water, all of that. And somehow I was able to maintain around 88 to 90 kgs during the whole process. In 2015, I came to Dubai because that's where— because my wife, my fiancée that time, and my wife now, she was working in Dubai. She moved here 2014, and I had to travel here, and because there were some challenges with the family and we wanted to get married, so I had to come here and leaving everything. After I came here, I was around 92 kgs, 94 kgs, and I was again, everything, my family, their family, everyone agreed during 2015, we supposed to get married in 2016. Again, I started my workout from, I think, November, September. I brought down my weight around 86-87 kgs. I maintained there for my marriage. So after the marriage, what happened was, um, I started, um, again the same story, right? You, you tend to eat because you want to explore. Your wife started preparing a lot of, you know, healthy and tasty food. I started binge eating again. And what happened was In October 2016, I hit my maximum, which is around 102 kgs. So this is a photo which you can see here. That was my weight. So during that time, there was a funny incident happened, which I already shared with many, many of the times, as I have— I had a very funny incident when myself and my wife, we went for a movie theater. The ticket collector asked me, is your daughter is 16 plus? That actually shocked me, okay, that the whole movie I could not watch literally because it was kept on hanging me. Do I really look that big? Is it— am I, am I really looking that big? Then actually that realized me, okay. That day I've decided that, okay, whatever may happen, I will look like a husband in front of my wife. I will not be looking like a father. So that day I decided. Exactly in 6 months I did amazing transformation from 102 to 84 kgs I reached. So this is my transformation where I was 102 and this is where I was around 82, 82, I think 84, I don't remember exactly, but that's a transformation. So during this time also, I don't know anything about nutrition. I just used to follow some random diets from the internet. I used to eat raw eggs, almost like 20 eggs a day, only egg whites, and rice curd. But I was very— my mind was very very strictly put in. Every day morning I used to get up and I used to do 10 minutes workout routine, and then evening I used to hit the gym, uh, workout for 3 to— I think 4 to 5 days I used to go for a gym combination of strength training, HIIT, and I used to do a lot of cardio during that time. And I somehow get into the shape. What happened over a period of time, again, so once you reach your goal, you tend to take it lightly because you achieved it, you feel that you are so accomplished, and you go back to your old habits. So that's what happened with me also. So in 2016, again, my son— I— my, um, the Laksh born in 2017, December something. So again, I started— my habits are not changed. I was very aggressively followed the diet and brought down, but again I put on weight. So some 6-7 kgs, I came to around 88 88-90 kg, surrounded. And when he born again with the work culture, and I had the biggest financial set during 2018, so I lost around the huge amount of my savings on the trading. So I lost around 22 lakhs in one month. So that made me to a depression, and then again I went on. That's how, that's when actually I got introduced to mindfulness practice, and I used to start meditating. And during that time also, again, because of all the stress and everything, I left my workouts and everything. And 2018 to 2019, and I used to do on and off workouts, 5 kg, 6 kg losing, and again falling back to the— back to where I started. But I never gone to again 102. I was always between 92 to 88 or 86. I used to juggle between these 10 kgs. And 2019, uh, you know, 2020, you know that COVID started. So then I started again, but during this time I used to do some kind of activity. I used to run, I used to— I have also done, did a lot of marathon, marathon runs, and also used to do a cycling. And all of them happened before COVID I used to do regularly. I have done, I think, 5 to 6 10Ks, and also I did a full marathon on 2018. Yeah, 2019 I did a full marathon. All of them. But one thing was sure, I had a very strong mindset. Once I, once I set a goal, whatever it may happen, I will not quit until it happens. Okay, so during that time only I started my personal YouTube channel, and I used to do intermittent fasting that time at 1 meal a day, 2 meal a day, but no proper scientific science knowledge, or I have never studied about nutrition and fitness sciences. I just used to follow some kind of a routine, but I used to work out regularly. So that, that's when I started my YouTube channel. But after certain point of time, due to again office work and all of them, I could not continue that routine. But I have been continuously on activity, some or other activity I used to keep doing it. And 2020 end or something, I got introduced to a community So this community has totally transformed me. So I got to meet the best of the best coaches, and one coach name is Sandeep, another coach is Bala. So these two people actually transformed me to the core, and I also, I learned a lot of things from this community. And I also did during this time education. I also studied nutrition and fitness sciences, and I have done my transformation during, I think when I started with them, it was, I was around 80 89 kgs, and I have competed for 2 of their transformation challenges. So first, I think 3 transformation challenges. First transformation challenge, I could not even be in under 250, top 250. But this next competition, I came as under top 50 out of, I think, 20,000 people. And the next transformation, I have actually gone through from 89 to 68. So this is the, this is where I went to from, I think, 28% body fat to around 6 to 7, 5 to 7% body fat range I hit. And I came to top 4 out of 44,000 participants who participated in that transformation. And during this whole journey, I have really enjoyed my overall diet, exercise, and everything just because I know about, I had, I learned, I know the information about how the diet works and all of them. The moment I started learning about diet and nutrition, I felt it is very easy for me to follow my diet and exercise routine and everything. And during this journey also, what I thought is it's all about building habits. I mostly focused on 3 things during the overall journey. One is a mindset. I used to visualize myself exactly how I want to look on my last week of my transformation or another transformation challenge, exactly I hit that body physique just, uh, you know, exactly the same. I told this to my coach, I think second or third week of it, I exactly hit it. So your— what I strongly believe is your fitness transformation, 80, 70 to 80% is your mindset. Once you get a clarity, once you reprogram your mind, once you remove those old habits, old self-beliefs, and old attitude there is no one in this world can actually stop you to, you know, achieve your fitness goal. So that is the most important thing what I understood. Second thing is, until and unless you don't make your fitness journey as part of your routine, part of a daily schedule, part of how you brush your teeth, um, your, uh, your fitness routine has to go into your schedule. Until that will not happen whatever you achieve, you cannot sustain it. So that's when I started seeing that, you know, whatever I implemented in my life, I have divided whole thing into 6 habits. And mainly, uh, there are, there are 3 elements what actually helped me. One thing is my mindset. Second thing is getting that clarity as fitness is not a race, it's a, it's a lifelong journey. And the third thing is learning about the nutrition and the basics, basic blueprint, which made me that, uh, I became my own coach. So the same way, whatever I've learned, I started implementing on my clients. I started, I started seeing immense results, and they become their own. So most of my clients, I think after 6 or 8 weeks or 9 weeks, they create their own diets, they follow their own regime. And I have so many clients who actually transformed, who actually enrolled with us for 3 to 6 months. After that, they became their own coaches and they progressed their journey. Uh, immensely. So I want to share with you two of my clients who actually I coached for 6 months. After 6 months, they continue to do the program and they continue to follow these habits, and they are able to transform. One is Satish. You can see his transformation. So when he was with me, I think he lost around 6 to 7 kgs, but he continued it and he lost overall 12 kgs. And another, another guy, name is Jainul. So you can see his transformation. He was— he started around, I think, 91 kgs, and right now when he ended, he was around 69 to 70 kgs, but now he was around 63 kgs. He sent it a couple of days back, that his transformation. So what we strongly believe in HAFIT and why did I create it is— so we mainly focus on— our vision is to— our main mission or a vision is to transform 100K professionals to become healthy and fit on both mental and physical. Okay, so I— we want to transform them mentally, physically fit and healthy and make them their own coach. Okay, and my long-term vision is, see, uh, why I started. I had two main strong reasons why I started my fitness journey, why I started, um, why I started, uh, helping people with the same thing, whatever I learned and whatever I used, whatever worked for me. So the two things are: I wanted to look like a fit husband forever in front of my wife. Second thing is I want to be a role model for my son. He wants to— I want him to take me as a role model, to take health and fitness as part of his routine. When he grows, I want him to see fit and healthy, and he should know the basic knowledge, and he should have this routine as part of his life. That will only happen as a person I follow this forever throughout my life. That is the only when my son will look at me and he sees what I am doing and he inculcates that in his lifestyle. So that's when I started, I thought that okay, if I can do it, I want to show to my son. At the same time, I want to empower so many parents who are there in the here, also empower them to become a role model for their kids. So my longer vision is I want to create a new breed of healthy and fit kids who will, who will have the fitness and health comes from their parents itself. So for that, I wanted to transform you, of each parent who are here, give you a basic blueprint where once you on board with us, you don't need any coach throughout your life until and unless— I mean to say, the basic knowledge about the health and fitness I wanted to provide you. And along along with your transformation so that you become your own coach and you can sustain your fitness for a lifetime. I have 3 main aims of, you know, what I wanted to achieve in each of the parent is we want to reprogram their mindset. So the mindset is the main culprit of you saying that you lack in time, you lack in consistency, you lack in knowledge, you, you don't have a time, you have, you are busy. All these All these excuses are coming because of lack of mindset. So that mindset we want to reprogram it. When you onboard it, we have some of the techniques we use to reprogram your mind. That is point number 1. Point number 2 is we want to make fitness part of a lifestyle. It's not you losing 5 kgs, 10 kgs and then you come back to your old habits. You will start again where you started. You will go back to where you started. But what we wanted is we want to make fitness part of a lifestyle. Every human body, person is different, their routine is different, everything. So you need to understand, once you have a blueprint, you can create your own pattern depends on your own convenience. You will have, you will have a lot of flexibility and sustainability when you follow this plan. So we want to make fitness part of your lifestyle, okay? And that you will follow the plan until you die. So that is my second. And third one is we want to empower you and educate you to become your own coach. So until and unless you become your own coach and you don't know the basics of the nutrition, you can never take your fitness part of a lifestyle. You can never follow that plan for all. So that's why what we have done during the program, we also empower you as a coach so that by the end of the program, you do beyond the program. You know what to do once you achieve your fitness goal. As I told you, fitness or your weight loss goal is not a race. It's a lifelong journey. You will always have milestones, and you keep improving your fitness levels every single year by year, year by year, year by year. Okay, it's not that once you achieve, you leave everything, you stop working out, you stop dieting, you stop doing everything. You fall back to where you started exactly in 3 to 6 months' time. Okay, so these are the 3, uh, 3 main aims why we started. So that's overall. And in this channel, what exactly I'm going to do is I'm going to share about these 3 main pillars, whatever I told. We will be talking about a lot about how you can reprogram your mind and how you can set that right fitness mindset, that optimum fitness mindset, how you can create. I'm going to create a lot of videos around it. And then there will be a lot of videos will be done on the nutrition level where it will give you a basic guidelines where you can create your own diet and you can also ask me anything around it. And the third thing is about the activity related. And the fourth thing about anything related to mindset, mindfulness, also I keep creating a content on this channel. So this is the overall background about me, my fitness journey, why I started HAFIT and all of that. So right now, the one of the biggest mission is I want to transform 100K working professionals. Who doesn't have a time or who works for a long hours. We want to reclaim their most active version of themselves and by building sustainable habits. What we strongly believe is building your habits is the only way you can build a fitness. Okay, so, so if I take 100%, how you can get a transformation? 70% goes for your workouts, 20% is your diet, 10% is your workouts. So this is the priority until and unless this 70%. But most of the people, what they do is they only focus on the diet and workout. Yes, you get transformed, but you cannot sustain until and unless you change your mindset, until and unless you clear this, your old self-beliefs, you clear that old habits, you clear that old attitude which is sitting in your head. If you don't erase and create the new attitude towards health and fitness, take this as a long-term game rather than a short-term game, and take fitness as a lifestyle, don't ever even try to do anything. Okay, what you need to get fit and healthy is a lifestyle change, not a diet of losing 5 kgs or 10 kgs. That is one of the byproducts. But if you don't change your lifestyle, if you don't change your lifestyle habits, there is no way you're gonna fix this issue forever. So that is all, uh, my friends. Hope— I know this took long time, but I wanted to give you my, uh, my overall journey, whatever I did, and why did I founded this, and what I am going to do. All that I wanted to explain it. I know it took a longer time, so hope, uh, that's— I hope you enjoyed till here. And thank you so much if you listen this video till here. I, I really appreciate you, and, um, thank you so much for watching till here. And if you're new to our channel, just please subscribe it and keep sharing with everyone and be part of our mission. And it's not about I can, I can never achieve myself to 100K professionals on making them fit and healthy. Each one of you get transformed and you transform and you actually give back whatever you learned and make at least 1 or 2 people transformed within your circle or within your family. That's how this ripple effect is gonna happen. That's how this mission is going to achieve. So thank you so much, guys, and I will come back to you with one more video. Till then, Arvind signing off. Thank you, bye-bye.
