Watch How Dhivya Did Her Fitness Transformation With Habbfit

In this interview, Aravind Padmaraju, Ph.D., speaks with Divya, an AML compliance officer and mother of two living in Dubai, about her three‑month journey through the Effortless Fit (Habbfit) program. Divya describes her pre‑program struggles—genetic predisposition to weight gain, back and neck pain, fatigue, and difficulty keeping up with her children— which motivated her to seek change. She recounts the initial 5‑day bootcamp, noting its simplicity, short 20‑30 minute workouts, and supportive coaching from Annie, which helped her overcome doubts about time constraints. Throughout the program, she debunked common myths about strict dieting and long, grueling exercise, instead following a flexible nutrition plan focused on protein and reduced carbs, and adopting six tiny daily habits that became automatic. Results included modest weight loss (3 kg) but significant inch loss, increased muscle tone, higher energy, reduced pain, and improved confidence, allowing her to wear favorite clothes and engage actively with her children. Her transformation inspired coworkers and friends, leading them to join walking groups and adopt healthier habits. Divya emphasizes the program’s effortless nature, the importance of sustainable lifestyle changes, and encourages others to try the 5‑day bootcamp, highlighting the long‑term, 360‑degree mindset shift she experienced.

Actually, genetically, I have a family of like, everybody in my family are fat. I have some pains, back pain, neck pain, and all started. Then I thought first thing will be dieting and all. I, I won't be— I have never followed dieting in my life. I, I was proud of myself. Okay, I changed so, so much.
Okay, welcome back everyone once again. So we have, um, one more, our champion who completed this journey of Effortless Fit program, and we wanted to interview her about how was her experience and how was the journey has been from last 3 months and how, what are the changes she brought in and how it is inside, uh, it has changed her life after following this program. So let me introduce, uh, each of you. Divya, welcome Divya for this amazing interview, and I'm looking forward to see share your own journey and your own going from struggle to how you are able to take care of your health and you're able to feel what are the things that have been changed. So before that, could you please introduce what you do? What is exactly your background?
Sure. Thank you so much. Thanks for inviting me. My name is Divya. Like, I'm a full-time professional in National Bank of Fujairah. I'm working as an AML compliance officer. I'm here in Dubai for about 6 years.
Okay. So how about your family? Talk about little family, like, yeah, I have 2 babies, 2 kids.
One is 4 years old and one is 1 year old.
Okay.
Full-time mom and a working mom. So it's very hard to follow all this fitness thing. Okay, but now I find it very easy.
Great, great. Yeah, Divya, could you please explain, uh, before joining the program, what are the challenges you are facing with your own health fitness? Um, I, I do remember that when we onboarded, you had a lot of challenges. I wanted to hear from you that, you know, how was the life before, um, this whole program?
So, um, actually, genetically, I have a family of like everybody in my family are fat. My mom, my grandmother, all of them are fat. So I was not that much concerned when I am putting on weight. I was initially, I was not very much concerned. Even when my husband told me like, take care of your weight because you have a gene of getting fat easier. So take care and all that time I didn't realize. But after the second baby, then small issues started like back pain. Some— I get easily— I was becoming very tired. I realized, okay, something I should do, something is not okay with me. I get sick every time, very easily sick. Overall, I was not fine. I was not fit.
Okay. So I was Okay, sorry. It was impacting your overall life, being all those challenges in your, your personal life, your professional life.
Yeah.
First thing, being a mother, I think you have a lot of responsibility to take.
Yes. First thing is I have to run behind these kids. Both boys, and I have to run behind them. I can't cope up with them. That was thing. Then, um, I was not able to play with my elder one. When we are in the park and all, I was not able to run behind him. Then I have some pains, I started in back pain, neck pain and all started, then I then only I realized, but it was not too late. Like, in the starting stage itself, I started thinking that I should do something, then that was the right time I got your invite for this Effortless Fit also. So I didn't pick up on anything. And it's If it's you, I know I can achieve it for 200%. So I immediately, I enrolled and I'm very happy that I did that.
Okay, great, great. So tell me when you got that message and you, I think you've gone through my bootcamp for 5 days. So what is happening in that 5 days when you started following?
Yeah, actually I joined and I thought, as I told like earlier, I know with you, it's 100% possible. But I was doubting myself, will I be able to do this with my office timing? And after coming home, I'm like busy full time. So I was doubting that and my commitment level, how it would be, like how far I can take this and all, I had all this kind of doubts. So I gave it a try for that one week. And that first 5 days itself, like, it was amazing. And I liked it because it was very easy. Things so straining yourself, nothing so difficult to follow. Everything very much easy. And it's doable. So I thought, no, this is very easy. If I can do this, then I should continue this. Then I thought, okay, no, I should not leave, I should continue for next 3 months.
Okay, great. So how was your next 3 months journey? So what are the, what are some of the myths you had that, you know, before you're starting a fitness journey, that, you know, it is, it is going to be more tough, I need to sacrifice a lot of things in my life. So please explain some of the— your own beliefs has been broken by after following.
I, I thought so. Like, I thought first thing will be dieting and all. I, I won't be— I have never followed dieting in my life at all because I get tempted very easily. I know myself, so I don't give it a try also. I thought, okay, I have to, for my health, okay, if I have to do something, I have to sacrifice, then I'll do. And second thing was exercising. I can't do that. It'll be tough. I can't follow. All these things were in my mind and timing, I can't spend time for that. These were my, I mean, I thought it will be like that. But once I joined, it just took 20 minutes to 30 minutes max for the exercise, for the full exercise. And that is very much doable. I can spend 30 minutes in a day for me. So that was it. And second thing, dieting. There is no restriction at all. Like, my coach Annie, she gave me very— she is very I mean, very, very friendly, very approachable. Anytime, any questions, I can reach out to her. So she's very helpful. So she gave me a plan. She first asked me what is my daily routine, and she molded accordingly. So she— I asked her, should I increase or decrease, or what to do? You just go with the flow, but be mindful what you're eating, like this much protein you should include. So she gave me the measurements. Okay, whatever you're eating is fine, just decrease the amount of carbs and increase the amount of protein. This was the only thing like she restricted on me. That was not a restriction at all. So I started understanding about the food, like what I am eating. Only then I thought I was conscious. Even now I am very conscious Today is Diwali and we are celebrating at office. Yeah, I was very mindful about taking the sweets. And I was proud of myself. Okay, I changed so, so much.
Yes.
So every week on the call also, she used to encourage me. That is okay, this is fine. Keep going, keep going. She keeps pushing.
So what is the one difference you found, right? I think you maybe followed some of the programs earlier with any diet and exercise. So what is the one uniqueness? I know that, you know, you're talking about a lot of awareness. So a lot of people actually misses— so they think that they have to go in the restrictive mode, they have to torture themselves, they need to be in that. But when actually, um, as I told you even in the starting of the program, that it is all about having that awareness around what is happening around you, what exactly needs, and you can always have a balance around it. So tell me, what is that when you compare with any other previous thing what you followed? What was the one big change you saw in this program?
Yeah, very true. That is, I personally have never tried any diet, but I've seen people around me have tried so many, they struggle to— I mean, they are given some push, I mean, some kind of food, only this you can go with. Maybe they're not liking it. But mostly they're having, and then they end up eating on the weekends, like one cheat day they will have and they end up eating so much. So I've seen many of them like that. And one more thing, when I realized these food kinds, and I started doing it for myself, I'm being conscious, but same thing when, when my friends followed the same, they're like forcefully doing it for somebody else. So they can't maintain that. Yeah, that main difference I noticed.
Yeah.
That is when they fall off the program.
Great, great. And also, I think we follow 6 Habits as part of the community and make that as part of a routine. So how would that shift has been into your life? And what are the things has been changed? By following those tiny habits which we do in the community.
That is very positive change in a way. These tiny habits started as a— I used to— when we are about to report that it is done, for the first one month, it was like, oh, I have to do this, I have to do this. Now it is like a habit only. Yeah, it is in my routine. So as soon as I wake up, I do my best. But from that to when I go to my bed to sleep, I'll be motivating myself what I've done. I'll be thanking, I'll be gratitudes. All that, it is coming automatically. I'm doing everything automatically now. So even the water intake, steps, I'm being very conscious on all these tiny habits. Now they have become a routine. In my life.
Great, great.
That much positive.
Yes. What are the changes you— that's great, especially what we focus on, behavioral changes. The whoever the listeners is watching, so we follow something like a tiny habits. So we focus on your behavioral changes to change it and make it as a very small, less than a minute, zero resistance habit. So over a period of time you're following, you will see the your outcome, your results, it becomes automatic. You're focusing more on the day-to-day actions. So that's what Divya has experienced as well. Yes, Divya, so what are the changes you've been achieved? Or, you know, I know that this is beyond just a weight loss, and I know that I wanted to share your own experience about how it has been transformed around your life, your personal life, your relationships, your job, your energy levels. So what are the changes you saw after following for 3 months this program?
Sure. First of all, everybody started recognizing that something is going on with you. You're doing something, something, some change, very good change. People started recognizing and they started asking me, they're asking me every day, at least one person in my office is asking me, what are you doing? So that kind of I'm showing. I'm very happy about it. You know, I've lost only 3 kgs in these 3 months, but still it's making a very big difference. Maybe my measurements are good now, so I've improved that. So I'm happy to wear my favorite clothes now. That's the best part.
I think you had a very good inch loss and the weight was same. I think during the process, you gain a lot of the muscle and the inch loss happened.
Yeah, yes. And many, many of my friends ask me, what are you doing? I even recommended them, uh, I'm just following this, is very much easy than you, you, the diets you are following. It's not that much difficult, please do follow. And, um, I have a habit now, I started walking in my office after lunch, half an hour after my lunch. I take steps, I climb 7 floors up and down. So now, at the end of 3 months, I've got 2 more partners with me walking.
Wow. Amazing. Amazing.
So they got inspired and they also started walking with me. And I remind them for waters and all. Drink water, drink water. So everybody is, they are seeing a change in me. And they also believe, okay, we can also do that. And they're also following it. So I'm very happy that I can help others also.
Yes, yes. It's a small, small changes, right? People think about it, right? Yeah, yeah.
At home also, my son, he used to remind me, are we doing exercise today? Are we doing exercise every day? He used to ask me, and he will do it with me.
Wow.
And he will also imitate you. After doing everything, well done, well done.
It's all about the small, small habits, you know, that walking whenever you are, you know, throughout a day when you're doing some kind of activity after meal and drinking that limit of water, taking care of your sleep, all of them. But yeah, people think about big things, but they forget about the small things. And I'm really super proud that, you know, you're also inspiring someone with your own actions. And, you know, it's— that's what we wanted. And I'm so glad to see that your son is taking this as part of his routine. So this is what the mission— why I started that, you know, we have to, as parents, this only thing what we can give them is the right knowledge and right guidance about health and fitness. So definitely they're watching us. And we following is best way to teach them rather than you forcing them, which you're not doing. And I'm so, so glad and, and I'm so happy that, you know, you are being inspiration in his own journey.
I'm very happy and I'm so thankful to you and the whole team for supporting.
Yeah. And how about you? Are there changes on your energy levels, your self-confidence? I know that, you know, basically we focus more on, you know, this— the routine which you have, we are following has to follow a lifetime. And I always say it's a 360-degree inner transformation, the way you think, your mindset, your, your overall strength levels, your confidence level. So what are the some changes happened around that?
Definitely there are, like, these tiny, tiny habits are adding more to my lifestyle as a whole. So there is a very big difference in my mindset, how I think, how I manifest things. Those have become my daily thing. I know this will happen, okay, being calm, let it, it's okay, fine, not taking much tense. So it's everything is smooth now. So that is a big thing and confidence level have gone Like, I can— I like— I know there is some difference. I am confidently meeting my colleagues, my managers, my everybody at office. And I'm also getting appreciation from them. So it makes me proud. I'm not going to leave this at all.
Great. And also, I also— you also told me that there are a lot of challenges happened before, back pain, you're having laziness. So how are you feeling right now?
Now I'm very, like, very active. I can run with my son. So I'm very active. I'm not feeling very tired very easily, so easy. It's all under control now. And in between, actually, I was— me and my family, whole family were sick for 2 weeks. That was because of the climate change and all. After that also, I thought, okay, immediately I was back to my routine. This, yeah, I was not being lazy at all. Even those 2 weeks, I was conscious about what I eat and all. The 3rd week, immediately I know I wanted to, I want to start. I can't leave this, I have to start. So I was falling back because I know the goodness of it now. Yeah.
So I don't want to That's great, Divya. So this is what I think we always say, that, right, it's not about when you have the short-term mentality of, you know, you want to only do it for just for a weight loss, and you always get disappointed when the scale doesn't move. But your focus right now is in thinking this as a long term. When, when it becomes a lifelong, then you don't think about those small, small distractions because they are part and parcel of our life. So I'm glad that, you know, you understood that and, you know, it's gone into the vibe and you're taking this journey to the rest of your life. So what is the, what is the one single message you want to give it to the audience who's watching and by you following and you experiencing a lot of changes in you? So what is the one single message you want to say to them?
One single message is this is really effortless. So mainly go for it, you will see other results. No doubt in that. So definitely should do this, actually.
Great idea. So just to little elaborate, like, tell me how you used to manage your time. I know that you have two kids, because a lot of, lot of parents or, you know, a lot of working professional think that it is too difficult, I have very limited time, how would I be able to manage my whole routine? So how did the overall program help you to achieve that?
Yeah, initially when I started, I used to attend the morning huddles. After that, I'll start my day. That time I was very much like, the day starts very fresh, and I feel very energetic throughout the day. And later on, my son's school started, so I couldn't attend morning huddles. So what I do after coming from office, I take half an hour break. And then I'll see the recordings. And I'll do and finish that workout for that day. For sure. If at all I'm having any other things, I'll finish all my works, even if it's taking very late, and make sure this 30 minutes, I'm going to do this and then I'm going to sleep. So like that only, I don't want to miss that thing. Any day, like, maybe in a week, one day or two days I may miss, but definitely for 3-4 days, I'll workout. Yeah, even if late, I will do that because my son also wants me to. He'll ask me, come on, let's go, let's go.
So your son was your accountability partner. So yeah, that's great, that's great. So how was other things? Yeah, so a lot of people think that, you know, it is so much hard, but I know that other than exercise, I think everything is part of your lifestyle. So how was, um, how was that shift happening? Your life?
Everything was easy apart from my food. Measuring that food was still on and off. I wouldn't follow that continuously. But even though if I'm not measuring it, I know what I should take, how much I should take. Like, over a period of time, I got that continuity. So I know, like, this much is enough. And then you take more— this foods take more vegetables, take more rice.
You started balancing out your meals, basically making sure that every single nutrient is there, what your body is required.
And wherever possible, I'm like controlling. Now I'm not adding sugar to my coffees. So that was a— I was like literally addicted to coffee. So I used to take 3 coffees a day. Now I'm taking only 1, that too without sugar.
Amazing.
But also, someday I have headache and all, that day I used to take with sugar.
Okay, great, great. And also, you mentioned that you have some of the cravings and binge eating, all these kind of things, right? What happened? How was that?
Like Annie instructed, when I take more of protein, I don't crave that much. Even if I'm craving, she have given me small, small recipes like peanut butter with banana and bread. Will be— will make you full and all. So I, I try all those things that will satisfy my craving and also my hunger. So I'm not hungry after that.
That's, that's amazing journey. I can, I can see that every part of your journey has been so enjoyable, and I can see that you got rid of your binge eating, all this stuff. And what happened? Any other, other changes you wanted to share which has happened around your life?
Main thing is people started telling that, okay, you are reducing, you're reducing, you're coming to your normal shape and all. I'm happy about that. And I'm happy that I can wear my favorite dress.
Amazing. So how long after you're wearing your favorite dress?
I used to wear them, but when I wear that, I feel like, okay, this is not matching me. This is not good. Like, But now when I'm wearing, okay, this fits me, this— I even shared the pictures in the group also. So that's confident I am.
Super, super proud of you. And I'm really glad that you made this as a part of your routine. And more than anything is the biggest satisfaction I think is your son is following you on your footprints. That's a great thing what you're giving to your kids. And I'm super happy for that. And tell me any last words you wanted to share to our participants before we end this interview.
Whoever participates, registers and participates here are very lucky, actually. They really— I mean, I don't have words to say. They will reach their goals without knowing. Yeah, I'm still yet to reach my goal. But still, I'm not feeling any— I don't, I don't have that doubt in me now.
Yeah.
So I'm— if I can do, anybody can do. It's like that. So go for it. Just— you can do it. That's all.
Great. Thank you so much, Divya, for your time and sharing that information. So that's all from Divya. So where she was having a lot of challenges with her health, her fitness levels, back pain, not able to be active, feeling lazy, from there she went to being super active now. She's not only changed her life, and also his kid follows her, and also some of our colleagues actually inspired by her journey. And it's, it's a great achievement. That is, that's what I always say, that right, health is a real wealth. The moment you change your health, everything around you will change. And focus on this as a 360-degree transformation. And if you really wanted to know more about it, I'm going to drop some of the links about our boot camp. Come and try. We do a 5-day boot camp and 3-day boot camp based on the, uh, the dates. You can, we will, you can try that and see if exactly it's a right fit for you. And if it is a right fit, and as we always say, that we are there to support you and, uh, understand what is your real challenges and fix them for once for all, build that as a routine. So that's how you're going to make your fitness as a lifestyle. So that's what it is. Thank you once again, Divya, and it's a great pleasure. To working with you. And I think the kudos to you that, you know, you trusted us and you followed every single step without doubting. And that's why you are experiencing that. And I want you to— I'm sure that this journey has to go a long way, and I'm seeing you reaching every single— your potential or your best version. Thank you, sir.
Thank you, thank you so much.
Yeah, take care.
