Why Your Brain Keeps You in Stress Mode? — Explained | Aravind Padmaraju

Dr. Aravind Padmaraju explains how the amygdala and hippocampus treat negative emotions like fear and shame as real threats, triggering chronic stress responses that trap your body in survival mode. Positive thinking alone won't fix this because the limbic brain stays activated. Real change requires working at the bodily level to release the trauma response and calm your nervous system.

That is why your body stops healing, your body stops manifesting, your body stops living, your body stops doing its basic responsibilities of a body, real day-to-day tasks. What's happening in reality is whenever there is a bad experience, mhm, what people go through? Sad, fear, guilt, shame, hopelessness, regret, jealousy. All these things are happening. Yeah. So when these negative emotions our limbic brain treats like the same way. It stores it? Yeah. One thing is your amygdala treats that even though there is no real threat, it considers as a real threat. We are in danger. Oh damn! So when you are having a fear, your amygdala kicks in. We are in danger, let's take a quick action. And your amygdala also goes and checks the reference in hippocampus. In hippocampus, if you have anything existing fear response It goes and checks. चलो ये तो real threat है, ये तो bionic threat है। For example, if you had hundred fearful moments, it takes all the fear response and then puts into your nervous system, and your nervous system puts your body into the survival zone. We are in a danger. We need to survive right now. That's why your heartbeat goes up, your breath goes up, your body releases the cortisol, and every cell of your body lives being in that un— um, not, um, I mean to say it's not a real threat, it's a perceived threat. It lives in the perceived threat. That is why your body stops healing, your body stops manifesting, your body stops living, your body stops doing its basic responsibilities of a body, real day-to-day tasks, whatever it has to do. Yeah. So over a period of time, if you see, actually majority of the people They are day in and day out. If I take, say, 12 hours is a wake-up time, 70 to 80% of the people are stuck in this emotional loop. You tell me, majority of the time, what do you actually think? If there is one incident happens, Yeah. You're stuck with that emotion again, and that emotion repeats, repeats. Every repeat, this thing is happening inside your body. Over a period of time, what happens is, once if I train my body for more than, say, 21 days or 90 days, it becomes a pattern. It stores that as a behavior. It's a default pattern. So your nervous system goes to a regulation mode. Your body, every cell of your body has this emotional experience. Hmm. So once this happens, Yeah. Your body thinks as, this is the familiarity of my body. Hmm. I need to feel fear daily. I need to feel sad all the time. I need to feel this without your knowledge. Hmm. And when you are in this state, your body is producing as an energy is fear. Fear. And in with your mind, you're saying I am powerful with one word. I am healthy with one word. And if you see, you're saying how many times? Maybe morning five minutes or half an hour. If you have, if you are a more personality development person, maybe you spend half an hour in the morning and half an hour in the evening. Yeah. And rest eleven and a half hours. Your body is consistently sending fear, sending guilt, sending shame, whatever you've been trained for so many years. Just imagine majority of the people has multiple traumas like this. Yeah. And their body is consistently in the traumatic response in this emotional behavior. And when this becomes familiar and you're trying to say positive, I am positive, I am positive. A lot of people says be positive. I say that being positive is one of the biggest problem right now. You cannot be positive all the time. All the time, yeah. Because you cannot deal a problem with just positivity. Positivity, yeah, true. So first you need to accept the part of you which requires a healing. Yeah. Let go that and then become positive. Yeah. And lot of biggest mistake right now people are seeing is they are they are thinking that diverting mind, take a mobile, reel ka reel, reel ka reel, ऊपर देखो. And there, whatever is happening, your amygdala is not calming down. Your response is not happening. That is into its own threat. Yeah. And you're just diverting. You're thinking that your mind divert करो तो body को change हो जाएगा। What's going on? घंटा होगा, nothing होगा। It's not is going to happen. Nothing is going to happen. It has to change on the body level. Yeah. So over a period of a time, everyone creating this as an identity. That identity I call it as a wounded self or a survival self. Okay. They live with a majority of their day in and day out with these three core 3 or 4 core emotions. They feel fear, they feel guilt, they feel shame, they feel deep level of powerlessness, they feel very small in the— in their own bubble, in their own bubble. They can't face the life, they have low self-confidence, and this defines their entire life. So with this state, tell me, with the whatever— how many of our affirmations I do, how many of our manifestation tasks I do. Absolutely, manifestation works because when you do anything repeatedly, your mind has something like reticular activation system. Yeah. To reticular activation system to activate, your mind has to be— your limbic brain has to be in the calm mode, not on the activated mode.
