A Christian is a disciple who obeys and learns from Jesus. The speaker warns that many claim the title without living it out, and argues faith without works is dead. He calls for immediate commitment to true discipleship.

Spirit of God, I want to take a moment and to speak on what it means to be a Christian and what God, what Jesus told us to do. A Christian is a disciple. A Christian is a believer in Jesus Christ. But in Matthew 29:19, he says, go out to make disciples of all nations, baptizing In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Disciples. That's what we should be making. And a disciple is someone who is obedient to Christ and listens to him as a master, as a teacher, and as his Lord. So as disciples of God, as disciples of Jesus, we should be learning about what he did and how we should live our lives in reflection of him. Too many Christians just claim the title and don't live in obedience with Christ. And it's so important that we get this because it is through faith alone that we are saved. But faith without works is dead. Meaning if we are not, if we are not following Christ in the order that he wants us to, then are we truly saved? Is our faith truly alive? And so I just want to, I want to encourage and I want to Warn you against pulling away from discipleship and simply focusing on the title and living however you like. And I want to encourage you to become a disciple of Christ. Right now is the moment. Right now is the time. Right now is the day to turn your hearts to the Lord. So please be a disciple of Christ, for he has called you.
