In this live demonstration, the presenter walks through the process of setting up an automated daily morning briefing using Claude CoWork. Starting from the task creation wizard, they choose a "daily briefing" task, specify the schedule for 7:00 AM on weekdays, and select to pull information from both Gmail and the calendar. The demo shows granting the necessary permissions, confirming the schedule, and the final result: a concise briefing that each weekday morning presents the day’s calendar events and highlights important recent emails, all delivered in under two minutes. The presenter emphasizes the speed and simplicity of the setup, noting it takes less than a minute to configure.

Notice that it starts asking you a series of questions. It looks like you'd like to create a scheduled task. Since we don't have a specific task together yet in this session, I need to know what you'd like to automate. I'm just going to say, let's see, let's do a daily briefing. But as you can see, you could do your email check, which I'll show you. I have it connected to my Gmail so it could give me a daily summary of what emails I should pay attention to, what I should reply to. So I'll show you that in just a second. You can also customize it, and we'll show you some examples of custom tasks. So I'm just going to do daily briefing, and it'll take you through that series of questions. And then this is the when. So the what, the when, I'm just going to say at 7 AM. And then what kind of daily briefing? I'm going to select either you type it in what you want it to do, or it could be connect. You can connect it to your email and select email, your calendar, or both. So what I'm going to do is I'm just going to select both here, but I'm going to jump right in. I'm going to stop it because this is going to take— actually, it's going a lot faster than I thought. Great. I'll set up a daily morning briefing at 7:00 AM on weekdays that covers your calendar. So notice that it asks for permission to schedule it. And so I'm going to go ahead and schedule it. I'm glad that it's actually working live because sometimes it is a little, a little slow. And there we go. It's set up. It's as simple as that. That took what, like less than a minute? So your daily morning briefing is all set. Here's what you've got every weekday at 7:00 AM each morning. It will pull up your calendar for the day, summarize your recent important emails so you can start your day with a quick overview in under 2 minutes.
