In this light‑hearted clip from a YouTube video, Praggnanandhaa (Pragg) recounts a recent encounter where a fan mistook him for another chess player, took a photo, and later apologized after Googling his identity. He also mentions being asked if he is Gukesh, reflecting on the confusion surrounding young chess prodigies. The conversation shifts to the Olympiad, where Praggnanandhaa and Gukesh played together, and teammates discuss who on the Indian team has the best sense of humor, with a consensus that Gukesh (referred to as Dukesh) is the jokester. The exchange showcases camaraderie, the public’s limited knowledge of emerging chess stars, and the playful atmosphere within the team.

So recently I was with my friends and some guy came up to me and said, "You're the chess player," but he couldn't remember my name. So I said, "Hi, I'm I'm Pragnananda," and that guy was like, "Oh yeah, I know you. I've seen your videos. Your sister also plays chess, no?" I was like, "Yeah, spot on." Yeah yeah, and he took picture and then later he googled and found out and he was like, "I'm so sorry." Anyways, people also asked me, "Are you Gukesh?" So how did it feel, Gukesh, playing with Pragnananda in the Olympiad? Like this really nice person. Thank you, thank you. Guys. Remember this, Dukesh and Prag.
Who do you think in the whole team has the best sense of humor?
Probably Dukesh, yeah. I think he was the one who was making a lot of jokes.
Me. Oh.
