In this solo‑host Tactical Tuesday episode of Hip‑Hoponomics, Ash (Alex) Cash blends personal‑finance advice with hip‑hop industry news. He opens with a brief market snapshot (NASDAQ up 0.21%, S&P flat, Dow down 0.36%, Bitcoin up 0.10%) and highlights JetBlue’s 20.66% plunge after a $3 billion debt raise, using it as a cautionary tale about corporate leverage. He then discusses the Trump‑Elon X Spaces conversation, noting platform glitches and stressing the need for backup communication plans and robust cybersecurity practices (strong passwords, 2FA, phishing awareness). Cash points out a record 128,000 millionaires expected to relocate this year, underscoring the impact of global tax‑friendly migration on investment strategy. He cites the White House’s push to simplify subscription cancellations, framing “small leaks” as budget killers. Senator J.D. Vance’s financial disclosure (>$4 M net worth, $250 k in Bitcoin) illustrates growing political acceptance of crypto and diversification. The SBA‑VA partnership is highlighted as a resource for veteran entrepreneurs. In the hip‑hop segment, he covers Kanye West’s $1.5 M lawsuit over paparazzi photos, Ice Cube’s dispute with FIBA over a blocked game, United Masters’ $250 k contest for independent artists, and the upcoming Invest Fest 2024 with a $100 k Microsoft giveaway. Um, and we're gonna break down the latest, uh, moves, um, and what they mean to your wallet. Um, all right, so first let's talk about the markets, right? So yesterday, Uh, I, I say it was a, it was, it was a mixed bag. All right. NASDAQ was up, uh, 0.21%. Uh, the S&P 500 stayed flat and the Dow was down 0.36%. Uh, Bitcoin was, was holding, uh, steady, up 0.10%. Uh, but what the real story was JetBlue. Uh, the airline stock plummeted 20.66% after announcing plans to raise $3 billion in new debt. This is really just showing us how quickly market sentiments can change when a company takes on significant debt. But also, we have to, as we're thinking about debt, how are you using debt in a good way or a bad way? And is it affecting your bottom line? So now let's, let's dive into some, some, some, some big news. Um, you know, Donald Trump and Elon Musk had a chat on X Spaces, uh, yesterday. They covered everything, uh, from the economy to foreign policy. Um, but the real takeaway was the platform— as big as a conversation that was, uh, the platform had technical, uh, issues showing that even big tech isn't immune to glitches. Always have a backup plan for your important communication. But then also, you know, make sure that you check things before you actually, you know, go out and have this communication because that's not a good look. But I definitely got to check it out and see, you know, what the conversation was about. Cybersecurity is becoming a crucial Uh, in politics. The Trump campaign claims that it was hacked by foreign sources. Uh, this isn't just about politics. Um, it's actually a reminder for us, for all of us, because I, I'm— I've been hit with, with a few, uh, breaches, right? We got to stay diligent, uh, you know, vigilant, um, about our, you know, digital security. We got to use strong passwords, um, enable 2-factor authentication. Authentication, uh, and be wary of phishing attempts. You know, I get— you know, I do everything, uh, you know, you know, you know, you know, 2-party factor authentication now because the, the scammers are out here scamming. Um, this was interesting, right? So millionaires are on the move globally. A record of 128,000 millionaires are expected to relocate this year. Many are seeking countries with lower taxes, right? And so this is showing us the importance of understanding global financial trends and how they might affect our investments. You know, I wanna tell you how many millionaires, you know, millionaires, Um, are there in the world? Uh, and they say 56 million millionaires. Sheesh. All right, the White House is making moves, uh, to simplify subscription cancellations. Uh, this is part of their, uh, junk fees crackdown where, uh, companies are making it hard for people to, to, you know, to, uh, cancel subscriptions. And so take this as your reminder to review your subscriptions and cancel the ones that you're not using because there's a quote that says, it is the small leaks that sink a large ship. And so when you think about your finances, you gotta make sure that you are not allowing these small leaks, right? These subscriptions, these things that are just kind of looming that we, we're not really aware of and we, you know, we allow them Uh, to, to, to kill our budget. Uh, you know, you know, $10, $20, $50, like all of that adds up. That money you could be using for savings. Uh, you could be investing it. You could be, uh, using that to start a business, your side hustle. Like there's so many different ways, uh, that you can use extra, uh, you know, extra money. Um, especially if you have these subscriptions that you're not using. So make sure you pay attention to those. And the White House is trying to help you do that. On to Senator J.D. Vance, who's Trump's vice president pick. His financial disclosures show that his net worth is at least $4 million, including $250,000 in Bitcoin. And so, you know, this is really showing us the growing acceptance of cryptocurrency among politicians and the importance, the importance of diversifying your investments. He's pretty young though, too. So I'm pretty sure he's like hip and, and willing to explore. And so that's, you know, so that's something that, you know, we need to look out for. The SBA and VA are partnering to boost veteran entrepreneur— entrepreneurship. And so if you're a veteran or know one, this could be a great opportunity to start or grow Uh, a business. Um, and so make sure you go to sba.gov, uh, to check out that program. All right, now let's go to hip-hop. Let's talk about what's happening in hip-hop business moves. Um, Kanye West— and this is, this is, this is gonna blow you, you know, you know, take you aback— but, uh, Kanye West is facing a $1.5 million lawsuit for posting paparazzi photos of who? himself and his wife on social media without permission. You heard me. This is a reminder about the importance of understanding copyright laws, even when it comes to photos of yourselves. Let me know what you think about that— being sued for posting pictures of yourself and your spouse And you're essentially mean, you get sued for millions of dollars. How, Sway? How? Ice Cube is accusing FIBA of blocking a game between his Big 3 All-Stars and the Olympic gold medal team. You know, there's always competition and there's always challengers. And when you're trying to disrupt established sports institutions, I mean, this is showing us that, right? But you gotta stay, you know, persistent in business. And so salute to Ice Cube despite all of the, you know, hate and, you know, pushback he's getting. He's still pushing forward. Steve Stout's United Masters is launching a $250,000 contest. They announced that today for independent artists. You know, this for all my independent artists out there is a great opportunity for up-and-coming artists to, you know, get a jump start in their career. But always remember to read the fine print on any contest or deal. Also, Invest Fest 2024 is happening next week. Also, $100,000 giveaway by the Marathon Microsoft. So make sure you go to investfest.com and get your tickets. All right, Rob. So what are we learning from all of this? Uh, number one, you gotta diversify your investments from stocks, uh, to crypto. Don't put all of your eggs in one basket. I'm gonna keep saying that till I'm blue in the face. Uh, number 2, I want you to stay vigilant about cybersecurity. Security is not just for politicians, but it affects all of us, um, one way or the other. Uh, number 3, I want you to keep an eye on global trends. Uh, they can affect your Uh, investments and opportunities, uh, and you should become one of those 56 million, uh, millionaires. Uh, number 4, understand the laws that affect your business, uh, whether it's copyright or, uh, contracts. Uh, number 5, look for opportunities in, uh, new part— partnerships and contests, uh, but always do your due diligence. All right, y'all. Uh, that's all I got for you today on a Tactical Tuesday. Uh, make sure you like, share, subscribe, tell a friend to tell a friend. Uh, remember, finance and in life, uh, is not just about making moves. It's also about making smart tactical moves. Keep hustling, keep learning, and keep on being you. I'll catch you on the next episode of Hip Hoppernautics with Ash Cash. All right, y'all. Peace and blessings. Peace and blessings.
